With the AWT meeting on Wednesday at Sha Tin we head to Happy Valley for a Sunday meeting during the day. C course means we should expect a strong leader bias and bias to the inside draws and rails runs. Good luck if you’re on.
Happy Valley Racing Tips: Sunday October 29th
Race 4: Foshan Hcp (C4) – 1000m (16:15 AEST)
(7) King Invincible was appallingly unlucky last start and was lucky to stay on his feet when checked in the straight. Barrier 3 this time will help and the horse is a deserved favourite.
(4) Sergeant Pepper snuck up the rail last start to narrowly miss. Can do a similar thing from barrier 2 this time so not out of it.
(10) Circuit Seven goes in for 3rd pick after running well in the same race as Sergeant Pepper last start. Barrier is a little trickier here but can still run well.
(7) King Invincible win

Race 6: Shantou Hcp (C4) – 1200m (17:40 AEST)
(1) Tomodachi Kokoroe drops in class here and gets barrier 1. Zac Purton is aboard and the horse didn’t perform badly at all last start in a harder race. Can win.
(4) Golden Link flew the gates last time but should’ve been squeezed from there to lead. Only narrowly lost to Denfield that time which is good form for this.
(11) Flaming Eagle wasn’t far off Golden Link last time they met. Market has them both as strong chances which is accurate.
(1) Tomodachi Kokoroe win

Race 10: Zhuhai Hcp (C3) – 1650m (19:50 AEST)
(4) Splendid Living is highly capable of winning here. Record last prep speaks for itself and he returned nicely with a strong run 1st up. Drawn perfectly here to lead and should be hard to beat.
(11) June Planet is the obvious danger having won 2 in a row now and finally finding the form he’s promised his followers for some time. Can win.
(8) Big Red is perfectly drawn in gate 1 to get one of the runs of the race. Not without a chance.
