There's plenty of fantastic race meets on the cards for Australia Day in 2024, and one of those will take place at Hanging Rock! There's a seven-race program at the Rock on Friday with the first set to get underway at 1pm (AEDT) and the last at 4:36pm. Victorian racing expert Trent Callen has gone over the form to bring you a couple of his best bets for the program. Check them out below and good luck if following!
Hanging Rock Racing Tips: Friday 26th January 2024
Race 6: Barlens (3:56) AEDT
(1) Wailua ticks all the boxes in the penultimate race at Hanging Rock with still plenty of meat on the bone in terms of the price on offer. Strips fitter after two strong showings, finds a class drop here and with the 3kg claim it’ll be hard to toss.
(3) Vegas On Fire notched up back to back victories before a forgive run latest where the market drift was spot on as a guide to her chances there, gets an opportunity to bounce back from one of the middle stalls.
(12) Tatsuro is a touch overs in the market for mine, form has been sound coming in and on paper this looks no more challenging. Will be bunched off midfield in transit and if it can time its run right may just pinch this.

Race 7: Bet365 Hanging Rock Cup (4:36) AEDT
(5) Friday At Five has a strong grip on the market to date, with fans sticking by the Ballarat trained Mare after a forgive run at headquarters last start. Will contest favouritism by the time of jump as a leading chance in this field.
(6) Makalu currently sits on the first line of betting as another on-pace hope who’ll be jostling for position early. The task ahead of him covering 1800m looks to be well within his repertoire, confident it’ll be in the picture late on the big stage.
(7) Disturbia carries winning form into this event having won two on the trot before a slight hiccup at Cranbourne derailed who chances of a three-peat. More than good enough on her day and will be a fighting chance to make amends here.
