The final midweek meeting for the year takes place at Gosford with the listed Gosford Guineas and Group 3 Belle Of The Turf the headline acts. Excited to see what those races can produce and the quality of horses engaged.

Gosford Racing Tips: Wednesday December 28th
Race 3
(1) Charity Spirit didn’t get the best of luck 1st up and the steward’s report reads she was “inconvenienced near 600m”. She’s capable of notching up a win here in what is much weaker company than she contested last preparation. The wide draw isn’t ideal but she can overcome it.
(12) Every Effort is an outsider in the market but drawn well and hasn’t been running too poorly this preparation. He may need a career peak to beat some of the horses in this race but could sneak into the finish and fill a minor placing without that so keep an eye on him.
(2) Crafty Eagle possesses good early speed which should put him in a very handy position early. He’ll likely get one of the runs of the race near the front from gate 6 and should be right in the finish if that happens.

Race 5
(1) Hell I Am won last time in the Wyong 3&4YO Magic Millions and can continue his winning ways here in the Gosford Guineas. He’s drawn well and only meets the same level of opposition he was able to beat easily last time.
(4) Russian Conquest has been hit and miss so far in her 8-run career. She’s highly capable of winning races of this nature but doesn’t appear to be the most consistent or trustworthy. Wide gate might present some problems but the filly trialled well in her lead up so should be thereabouts.
(2) Shalailed was 2nd to Hell I Am at Wyong and presents as the obvious danger using the same form lines. Nash will be looking to turn the tables here which I think is a tough task but if any jockey is capable it’s him.

Race 6
(9) Deny Knowledge is coming out of a group 3 Summoned Stakes where she was a narrow 4th to My Whisper. Prior to that she was 2nd to Savannah Cloud who has won recently against talented horses. This is the right form line in my eyes and the mare is drawn perfectly in gate 2 to receive every possible chance here at double figure odds.
(5) Lovely Esteem is also drawn well in this event and with the right run can feature here. She never got clear 1st up behind Democracy Manifest which is strong form but may be slightly below some others in the race.
(11) Ella Te Ama has to be considered a big danger if she can handle gate 9. She was dominant at Hawkesbury last time winning the Summer Provincial Series Final and deserves a crack here. Can’t have her this short however.
