Esports Betting Tips: Wednesday, July 1st

July 1st 2020, 10:29am, By: admin

We're back with more exciting esports betting coverage for Wednesday, July 1st. Today, we're heading to the DPL-CDA Professional League Season 2 before taking a look at OGA Dota PIT Season 2: China.

Esports Betting Tips: Wednesday, July 1st

PSG.LGD vs ViCi Gaming

DPL-CDA Professional League Season 2

PSG.LGD are entering this match in shaky form. So far this competition, they have lost to Sparking Arrow Gaming (0-2) and narrowly defeated CDEC (2-1), which worries me a bit. Out of their last five fixtures, PSG.LGD managed only two wins against CDEC, but failed to show up against SAG (twice) and once against Royal never Give Up.

ViCi Gaming enjoyed a similar experience throughout the DPL-CDA Professional League Season 2. They defeated IG.Vitality (2-0), but lost to CDEC (0-2). As for their performance throughout the last couple of days, ViCi managed only two wins out of last five played against Royal Never Give Up and SAG, while they lost to CDEC, and twice against SAG.

Neither team is in great shape, which makes me believe we are in for a close and scrappy match. Picking out a winner is tough, but I find ViCi a far more appealing option. Not only did they show slightly more in recent weeks, but they also defeated PSG.LGD twice at the start of May and I don't see why they can't do it again.

Invictus Gaming vs Sparking Arrow Gaming

OGA Dota PIT Season 2: China

Invictus Gaming and Sparking Arrow Gaming have met four times in 2020 already and surprisingly, it was Sparking Arrow Gaming who won each match. All four games, however, ended with a 2-1 scoreline, so it's fair to say IG and SAG tend to produce close affairs.

Invictus Gaming are entering this match with a 5-5 record from their last 10 played. They defeated PSG.LGD, CDEC, RNG, ViCi and Sirius, but lost to RNG, ViCi, CDEC and twice against PSG.LGD. SAG, on the other side, hold onto a 7-3 record from their last 10. They lost only to CDEC, ViCi and RNG, but defeated ViCi, RNG, PSG.LGD (twice), CDEC, Blaze and Aster.

Sparking Arrow Gaming are obviously in a much better form, however, they did not impress me in their 1-2 loss against RNG this Tuesday. The problem with these Chinese Dota2 fixtures is that teams met each other so often you never know who will come out ahead. Additionally, the online format makes the results that much more volatile and unpredictable.

Invictus Gaming might have had a few iffy results in recent weeks, but they also had their moments. I'm not saying IG are the favourites to win here, but in all honesty, they have enough quality to do so. Bet on the underdogs!

AVANT vs Paradox

ESL Australia & NZ Championship Season 11

Paradox are coming into the match with a six-match winning streak, which they earned with wins against Mako, Bantz, really weird, Ground Zero, PC419 and Incept. Nevertheless, none of these wins came against strong teams, so it's fair to say their record is a bit misleading, considering Paradox's record against top Australian teams such as Chiefs, ORDER and Renegades is actually pretty poor. In other words, Paradox have no issues defeating low-ranked teams but usually fall flat against top sides.

Throughout ESL Australia & NZ Championship Season 11, Paradox have played a total of four matches. They have defeated Ground Zero and Bantz, but lost to ORDER and Renegades without winning a single map.

AVANT, on the other hand, are entering this match with a 4-1 record. They have defeated Chiefs, ORDER, Forbidden and Generation of Miracles, but lost one against ORDER. Throughout ESL Australia & NZ Championship Season 11 campaign, AVANT won against Rooster, lost against Renegades and picked up an automatic forfeit win against Generation of Miracles.

Paradox already defeated AVANT about a month ago and considering AVANT will enter this match with a stand-in player, I can't see how Paradox couldn't at least keep the match close or even edge out a win. Bet on Paradox to keep it close!
