Esports Betting Tips: CSGO and Dota2 – Tuesday, 7th April

HellRaisers vs B8

ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Dota2 Online: Europe & CIS

Danil "Dendi" Ishutin's squad have been quite unfortunate with their performance so far, as they are entering their next bout with a 0-2 record next to their name. That said, B8 were not particularly bad in their showings and although their 1-2 loss to Cyber Legacy is not something to write home about, we can't help but be impressed with their performance against OG (1-2) earlier on Monday.

HellRaisers, on the other side, lost to Virtus.pro (1-2) on day one but managed to stomp Vikin.gg on Monday. Although they boast a stronger record compared to that of B8, it would be safe to say Dendi's team played much tougher opponents, yet still managed to produce strong resistance. Bookmakers have HellRaisers priced at 1.34, which severely overrates Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov and his crew. While they are a stronger team on the paper, B8 are not as weak as the odds would suggest. If HellRaisers won't step up their game, we have a hard time believing they can produce a clean sweep here, meaning we could be at a three-map series. On the other side, if B8 can enter this game with the same fire as they have shown against OG, we would even dare to say Dendi and co. can produce an upset win, which provides us with an excellent longshot bet at generous odds.

Virtus.pro vs Cyber Legacy

ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Dota2 Online: Europe & CIS

A quick look at the betting odds for this match has caught our attention, namely because bookmakers decided to have Virtus.pro as 1.16 favourites over Cyber Legacy. While Virtus.pro are without a doubt one of the biggest names in the esports world, the performance of their Dota2 team in recent months was far from impressive. In two games played at ESL One LA, Alexei "Zayac" Berezin and his crew edged past Gambit (2-1) and HellRaisers (2-1), which are not results worthy of a standing ovation. Cyber Legacy, on the other side, ran into some issues against B8 on an opening day (2-1), but managed to push Nigma to three maps (1-2) earlier on Monday, which is a far more valuable result to anything Virtus.pro have produced since December when they bested TNC Predator.

It's worth noting that Virtus.pro already swept Cyber Legacy three times since February, but based on the team's performance at this tournament, Cyber Legacy have a legitimate chance to win at least one map. Betting on Cyber Legacy to upset their CIS adversaries might still be a bit too optimistic given their history, but at 2.06 offered on +1.5 map handicap, it's easy to pick a side here.

Astralis vs OG

ESL Pro League Season 11 Europe

While OG are not exactly a world-beater, as they're still a new team that has been active for barely three months, Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen and co. already made some serious noise with their triumphs over some of the strongest teams in the scene. It's worth noting that their record through ESL is not particularly good, but with wins over Vitality, mousesports and fnatic, OG are definitely a team that should not be overlooked.

Astralis, the former #1 team in the world and widely regarded as the most successful team in the CS:GO history are going through difficult times as of late and now look ripe for the taking. The biggest problem we have here is not so much Astralis' poor performances (which is an issue on its own), but rather the surprisingly low odds offered on them (1.30). In all fairness, the Danes have no business being priced that low, especially in an online match, where they are known to have their flashes of inconsistency. This will also be the first meeting between OG and Astralis, which makes betting on the underdogs much more appealing. Bet on OG to surprise Astralis and take the win.
