Esports Betting Tips: Tuesday, May 11th
ViCi Gaming vs EHOME
Chinese DPC Upper Division Season 2
EHOME enter this match as 2.31 underdogs, which seems a bit off. Although you could argue that ViCi are the better team, the gap between the two is not nearly as big as the bookmakers would lead you to believe.
EHOME are 2-2 this tournament, with wins against Royal Never Give Up (2-1) and Sparking Arrow Gaming (2-0), and two losses against PSG.LGD (1-2) and Elephant (0-2). ViCi share the same 50% win rate with wins against PSG.LGD (2-0) and Elephant (2-0), and losses against Invictus Gaming (1-2) and Team Aster (1-2).
When predicting this match, we must also consider that EHOME are 4-3 in their last seven outings, while ViCi managed a slightly worse 3-4 record in the same stretch.
These teams faced similar-quality opponents in their last seven, so by that logic EHOME are in better shape. It’s important to note that ViCi beat EHOME 2-1 just under two weeks ago, however, it was a close series, so I wouldn't overreact to that result.
EHOME are known for putting up a fight against any top-tier Chinese team and ViCi are no exception. Five out of their last six meetings ended in all three maps played, which includes three victories for EHOME. I expect this bout to be just as close and exciting as previous ones. Bet on Over 2.5 maps!
Team Aster vs Royal Never Give Up
Chinese DPC Upper Division Season 2
This will mark Aster's fifth match of the tournament and one they're expected to win. Aster have been showing strong form and are still unbeaten across their last four.
That run includes wins against Invictus Gaming (2-0), PSG.LGD (2-0), Vici Gaming (2-0), and Sparking Arrow Gaming (2-0). This more or less guarantees them to win the league - unless Aster choke and drop both of their final two games.
Royal never Give Up were far less impressive with their showings in this competition. They're 2-2 with two losses against EHOME (1-2) and Invictus Gaming (1-2), and two wins against Sparking Arrow Gaming (2-0) and Elephant (2-0).
Unlike Aster, RNG haven't been playing too well over the last month. They're 2-5 in their last seven across all competitions, whereas Aster are 6-1 in the same sample size of games. What's more, Aster are 2-0 up in the head-to-head with RNG this year, with two clean sweeps (2-0) in January and April.
PickleBet offers 1.69 on Aster to win this match 2-0, which seems tempting, but the odds seem a bit low. RNG might not be one of the best teams at the tournament, but they definitely have the needed talent to put up a fight. Take RNG to win one map!

BIG vs Complexity
Flashpoint Season 3
BIG and Complexity will clash in the first round of Flashpoint Season 3 on Tuesday, May 11, which will mark only their third meeting of the year. Both of the last two head-to-head bouts ended in favour of BIG who won with 2-0 at ESL Pro League Season 13 and most recently at the FunSpark ULTI 2020 Europe Final.
Across 22 maps played between these two teams, BIG won 14 (14-8), with five going into overtime. With such numbers, it would be easy to speculate that BIG are set up for success on Tuesday, but that's not necessarily the case.
Complexity enters this match 0-3 with losses against Astralis (0-2), mousesports (0-2) and FURIA (0-2), which doesn't help when trying to make them look good. But this team was very unlucky in their recent bouts.
In their loss against Astralis, Complexity were 5-10 down after HT on the final map, yet still managed to force overtime, where they fell short (19-22). Against FURIA, Complexity were down 3-12 after the HT on the first map, forced overtime and again fell short (17-19).
Then there was the match against mousesports, where Complexity underperformed and lost 0-2, despite beating mouz 2-1 just two days prior.
BIG's record looks much better on paper (3-2 in their last five), however, they enter this match after two narrow 2-1 victory against tier-B teams in Apeks and BLINK. Even before that, BIG lost to mouz (0-2), FunPlus Phoenix (1-2) and HAVU (0-2).
Complexity didn't impress with their recent performances, but they're at least not losing games against B-Tier squads. Bet on Complexity to win!
