ENCE vs FaZe Clan
Roobet Cup 2022
The second round of Roobet Cup 2022 playoffs kicks off on Tuesday, June 28 at 15:00 local time (CEST), with a clash between the current top teams in the CS:GO World Rankings. FaZe Clan enter the match as 1.53 favourites while ENCE hold an unenviable tag of the underdogs (2.37).
Even though this is a match between the current best CS:GO teams, it does not surprise me to see FaZe priced as the favourites. Still, ENCE won this match 2-1 at the start of the month, and they defeated FaZe in May, during PGL Major Antwerp.
Interestingly, FaZe have just one H2H victory against ENCE since March 2022, and yet they're the underdogs for this match. However, despite their past success against FaZe, ENCE have not looked as good against other teams.
During the group stage ENCE lost a map against MOUZ and Eternal Fire, which isn't too convincing, especially knowing that FaZe are much stronger than the two teams. But you could argue that FaZe haven't looked too clean this tournament either, having lost against BIG (1-2), and they even lost one map (2-1) against OG in the Group A decider.
FaZe are stronger, and they should win, but I was not convinced with their performances over the last couple of weeks. So even though I have faith in FaZe, this smells more like a series that will be decided on the third map.

forZe vs Astralis
Roobet Cup 2022
Astralis ended the group stage with a 2-1 record and finished Group B in second place, behind Cloud9. They won their tournament opener against Movistar Riders (2-0), lost against Cloud9 (0-2) and sealed the deal with a 2-1 victory against Complexity in the decider.
So even though Astralis showed enough to qualify for the playoffs, they had only beaten Movistar Riders and Complexity, which isn't too remarkable.
ForZe, meanwhile, topped Group D with wins against Outsiders (2-1) and 9z (2-0) and based on what we're seen from them, I don't have anything bad to say. But just like Astralis, forZe did not show anything spectacular.
I can see why online betting sites would favour Astralis for this match, but I wouldn't price them at 1.53 and it seems like the odds are set more on the brand value than Astralis' actual performances. Individually, Astralis are better than forZe, but as a team, they're not good enough to be priced that low.
At 2.37, I'm far more excited about backing forZe. They're not a team I would consider elite-level, but with the way Astralis have been playing, I wouldn't give them that tag either. This is very close to a 50/50 match, so I have to take the underdogs.

ECSTATIC vs SINNERS Esports
Elisa Invitational Spring 2022
ECSTATIC and SINNERS Esports will meet in Elisa Invitational Spring 2022 quarter-finals for the first time since May 11, when SINNERS won 2-0 with 22-20 on Inferno and 16-7 on Overpass. It was also SINNERS' fourth consecutive H2H series victory since September 2021, so clearly, the stats work in their favour.
But for this match, SINNERS are priced as 2.37 underdogs and the reason behind that is very simple. The Czech squad lost Adam "NEOFRAG" Zouhar to OG at the end of May, and with that, their best player.
Since NEOGRAG's departure, SINNERS have not looked nearly as solid as they had before, and they were particularly disappointing last week, when SINNERS won just one of five games, and even their sole victory came against ENTERPRISE esports. The four losses came against Falcons, Fnatic, Sprout, and forZe.
I would not call ECSTATIC a particularly good team, but they have been playing better than SINNERS lately. They're on a six-game winning streak with wins against hellslayerz, ENTERPRISE, 1WIN, ex-MAD Lions, and Bad News Eagles. For their standards, those are big wins.
If we consider the team's form, ECSTATIC should defeat SINNERS, but I wouldn't expect it to be a clean sweep. Through their last six victories, ECSTATIC have dropped one map in each game, indicating that they might have a weak map pool. They were also a bit lucky to win a few of those matches, so I find it hard to believe SINNERS can't win at least one map on Tuesday.
