ESports Betting Tips: Tuesday, June 15th

June 15th 2021, 10:20am, By: Michael Lee

Esports Betting Tips

Another night of esports betting tips coming from Michael Lee this Tuesday, the 15th of June! Tongiht he heads to the BLAST Spring Final 2021 as well as the FunSpart ULTI 2021 Europe Playoffs 1 for the best bets of the night.

Gambit vs Evil Geniuses

BLAST Spring Final 2021

Gambit will be coming into the match on the back of a five-match winning streak against OG, G2, Complexity, Astralis, and their next opponents, Evil Geniuses. They just won IEM Summer 2021 in a dominant fashion, sweeping (3-0) OG in the finals, and they are the rightful number one ranked team in the world right now.

Evil Geniuses were not so long ago viewed as the number one team in the world (or at least in NA), but multiple departures, poor form, and almost no notable results saw them drop down to no.30 on the global rankings

These two teams last met just a couple of days ago at the IEM Summer 2021, where Gambit reigned superior with 16-10 on Dust2 and 16-11 on Overpass. Sergey 'Ax1Le' Rykhtorov and Dmitry 'sh1ro' Sokolov were on fire that day, both securing over 40 frags, as well as 1.50 and 1.43 HLTV rating respectively. On the side of EG, Bulgarian AWPer Tsvetelin 'CeRq' Dimitrov was the only positive player that day with 36 frags and a 1.06 HLTV rating.

Vincent 'Brehze' Cayonte and Peter 'stanislaw' Jarguz have been missing in almost all Evil Geniuses' matches, which makes me wonder if there is anything else going on outside the game. My best guess would be that at least one of the two is looking over at VALORANT and is probably already playing the game with a potential future team.

Gambit are on a roll, while EG are probably going to disband their CS:GO roster in a couple of months - like most of the US-based organizations have this year. Gambit to win 2-0!

Ninjas in Pyjamas vs. Complexity

BLAST Premier Spring Final 2021

Complexity's last tournament was the IEM Summer 2021, where they finished 7-8th, and to be perfectly honest, they were unlucky to finish so low. Even though Complexity lost their opening BO1 match against Vitality (which was basically a coin toss), they managed to win their next two BO3 games against FunPlus Phoenix and Sprout, but then they had to face Gambit.

Complexity lost the first map against Gambit 7-16 on Mirage but bounced back with 16-8 on Overpass. Their last map of the series came down to the wire, ending in a 16-14 victory for Gambit. Complexity had every chance to win the series, but sadly the lady luck was not on their side that day.

Ninjas had a pretty similar "path" at the IEM Summer 2021. They lost their BO1 opener against OG, won the next two BO3s against Heroic and Fnatic, but then got eliminated (1-2) by Virtus.pro.

In my opinion, NiP are nothing special yet. They have the potential, but I feel like they need a little more time together. This match feels like a complete coin toss, and with the uncertainty of who will be NiP's fifth player, I am surprised that Complexity are still priced as underdogs. Value bet on Complexity!

Dignitas vs Sinners

FunSpart ULTI 2021 Europe Playoffs 1

Dignitas have been competing primarily in tier 2/3 tournaments of late, which includes Funspark ULTI 2021 Europe Regional Series 2, Spring Sweet Spring 2, and LOOT.BET Season 9. Given the mix of veterans and young blood they have, Dignitas should be winning these kinds of events or at least be somewhat competitive.

Instead got eliminated by the likes of ENCE, Wisla Krakow and Lyngby Vikings, and I'm not impressed.

The last time these two teams met was a couple of weeks ago at the Funspark ULTI 2021 Europe Regional Series 2, where Dignitas reigned supreme. They beat Sinners with 16-14 on Nuke and 16-8 on Vertigo.

Dignitas' star player Håkon 'hallzerk' Fjærli was on fire that day with 56 frags and 1.44 HLTV rating. Given how close the last match was, Dignitas will need hallzerk to be just as good this time out if they wish to repeat their success, and I don't believe that will happen.

Dignitas have been losing against way worse teams than Sinners in recent weeks, and unless they show some improvement, this match will likely turn out to be an extremely close one.

Value is on the Sinners here, but since I expect a close match, perhaps it's wiser to bet on the match going the distance. Bet on Over 2.50 Maps!
