Esports Betting Tips: Tuesday, July 21st
CR4ZY vs Unicorns of Love
CyberPRO Series 1
Both CR4ZY and Unicorns of Love are entering this match in shaky form. In their last five matches, CR4ZY defeated only AGF and HONORIS, but lost to ALTERNATE aTTAX and twice against AGF. Their 2-3 record puts them at a 53% win rate for the past three months, so CR4ZY are not exactly a bad team, but at the same time, they also tend to underperform when faced against tough opponents.
While CR4ZY are not in excellent form, Unicorns of Love are in an even worse situation, since they managed to win only 26.9% of their matches across the past three months. They also finished third-fourth at the Betano Masters Europe 2020 and 16th at the ESEA MDL Season 34 Europe, where UoL won only two matches.
Suffice to say, Unicorns of Love are struggling with their form and after their disastrous performance at the ESEA MDL, I am not too confident they can cause any problems for CR4ZY. Apart from Dust2 (a map CR4ZY don't play on), the young Ukrainian squad should have an advantage on all the remaining six maps, which suggests they should be able to come out of this match with a clean sweep. Bet on CR4ZY to cover the map handicap and win 2-0.
Barrage Esports vs Tricked Esports
NLC 2020 Summer
Barrage Esports and Tricked Esports will clash in the second-to-last week of NLC 2020 Summer split, where Tricked will hope they can win and guarantee themselves a spot in the playoffs, whereas Barrage will look to claim their third win of the split and get themselves one step closer to a top-four finish.
Barrage are entering this bout with a poor 2-4 record next to their name. So far they have already lost to Fnatic Rising (twice), Tricked and Munster Rugby Gaming, however, managed to defeat MnM Gaming and Dusty. Tricked Esports, on the other side, managed a 4-2 record this split. Their only two losses came against Fnatic Rising and most recently Dusty, while they had no issues taking down the remaining four teams.
Last time Tricked and Barrage met, Barrage looked somewhat solid for the first part of the match, but dropped the ball in the mid-late game. They have improved their late-game slightly since, but it's fair to say they have a lot more work left to do before we can view them as serious playoffs contenders.
Despite Barrage's iffy performances this split, we can't ignore how poorly Tricked have played against Dusty on Tuesday. They lost the said match 7-19 and with almost 9k gold deficit, which does not inspire much optimism ahead of this bout. While Barrage also lost their most recent bout with Fnatic Rising, they looked at least somewhat good, which is not something we can say about Tricked even though they played a significantly weaker team.
Tricked look like the better team on paper, but after what they have shown last week, we have no confidence in siding with them for this bout. Bet on Barrage to upset Tricked and avenge their previous defeat!
FATE vs LDLC
Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup 4
FATE looked decent at the Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup 3, where they defeated Budapest Five, Singularity, Gambit Youngsters and ALTERNATE aTTaX, but unfortunately ran out of steam in the grand finals where they lost to Illuminar (0-2). Nevertheless, FATE bounced back with a win against GameAgents at the CSGOFAST Cup 5, which should at least help them regain some confidence ahead of their upcoming match.
LDLC won only one match out of their last five and while their sole win came against Illuminar (2-0), that win was more of a fluke win than anything else. Besides their win against Illuminar, LDLC lost to Budapest Five, Syman, Nexus and ALTERNATE aTTaX. LDLC also hold a poor 34.5% win rate across the last three months, which only further proves the French are struggling with their performances.
Even though LDLC and FATE have yet to meet, it's obvious that FATE are the clear favourites. They’re in a much better form and considering LDLC lost to teams FATE have beaten before, we can safely expect FATE to close out this game with at least three round lead. Bet on FAT to cover the handicap!
