Rare Atom vs Team WE

Our Monday League of Legends Pro League (LPL) predictions did not go as planned. Royal Never Give Up finally slippedd and lost against Bilibili Gaming, while Suning suddenly found their long-lost form and completely demolished LGD Gaming. Results like that don’t surprise me, since we are still very early into the season, in one of the most unstable leagues in the world.
Today, we will focus on a match between Rare Atom and Team WE, who will look to bounce back after a devastating loss against RNG last time out. It marked their first loss of the season that ended their five-game win streak.
Team WE’s match with RNG was more or less a clash between a team that had an off-day and a team that look unusually solid and it’s not difficult to figure out which team is which. Even though WE had a disastrous performance, I won’t change my evaluation of them based on one series alone, although it was a shame we did not get a more competitive series.
Rare Atom have won their second series of the season on Sunday when they swept the struggling Rogue Warriors 2-0. There is no denying Rare Atom performed fairly solid, but you just can't praise them too much for beating RW, granted they get some points for knowing how to exploit their opponent's weaknesses.
Team WE might have dropped the ball in their recent match, but they're still a significantly better team than Rare Atom both individually and when it comes to macro play. Anything less than a 2-0 win will be a massive disappointment for Team WE.
Victory Five vs EDward Gaming

Victory Five are not looking too sharp heading into this match, having lost against ThunderTalk Gaming and Royal Never Give Up last week. EDward Gaming, on the other side, have yet to lose a single match this split and have on top of that dropped only two maps out of 12 played (10-2).
It's hard not to be impressed with EDG, not only due to their near-perfect record but the style of play they use to defeat their opponents. What's interesting, however, is that EDG don't really use any unique strategies, but instead only work on minimalising their mistakes.
Based on what we have seen from these two sides so far, this is a match that could easily end in EDG's clean sweep, but the odds on that are a bit too low for me. Victory Five might have slipped a bit last week, but I’m not ready to give up on them just yet. Bet on Victory Five to keep the series close!

EHOME vs Team Aster
DPC 2021 China Upper Division
EHOME struggled to make much of an impact in their competitive endeavours early into 2020, but have seemingly found their stride towards the end of the year when they finished inside top-three at the CDA-FDC Professional Championship Season 2, China Dota2 Pro Cup Season 2 and OGA Dota PIT S4: China. Their form, however, does not mean much considering they took a month-long break and have since played only two games, which includes a 2-0 win against Team MagMa and a 1-2 loss against Invictus Gaming.
The situation with Team Aster is similar, as they as well looked much better in November-December. But unlike EHOME, they have managed to carry over the momentum into 2021 and now enter this match with a 2-0 record, having beaten PSG.LGD (2-1) and Elephant (2-0).
These sides have met four times since November, each winning two bouts, so as far as their head-to-head record is concerned, Aster and EHOME are fairly equally matched. The bookmakers, however, suggest Aster are huge favourites, which I can't agree with.
Aster might have beaten PSG.LGD, but that does not mean much so early into the season when all teams are ring rusty. EHOME are not as strong as they were before the major roster reshuffle in 2020, but they still field a fairly solid squad that can stand up aganst Aster and steal one map. Bet on EHOME with a map handicap!
