Esports Betting Tips August 4th

Another night, another great slate of esports action to look forward to. This Tuesday night, our gaming expert takes a look at some of the key matchups across the DOTA2 OMEGA League and the CS:GO Nine to Five Cup!

Esports Betting Tips: Tuesday, August 4th

Neon Esports vs Reality Rift

OMEGA League: Asia Divine Division

Neon Esports are entering this match following a humiliating defeat against Team Black at the Moon Studio Asian League, which I have covered yesterday. I was not too surprised by the end result of the said match, however, what I am surprised is seeing Neon priced as the favourites heading into this match.

How exactly can a team that has lost to Team Black be regarded as such big favourites against Reality Rift is beyond my understanding. While Team Black are by no means a bad team, they're still an amateur roster, so losing to them 0-2 is a clear sign Neon are struggling.

Reality Rift are just like Neon entering this bout straight after a loss, which they have suffered this Monday against Execration (1-2). Across their last 10 games, Reality Rift have not won a single one and produced a 0-4-6 record. Even though that record is not too promising, there are two things to note. First of all, nine out of the 10 games were played three weeks or more ago and secondly, most of those games were played against significantly stronger sides.

Neon and Reality have met seven times this year. Neon won two games, Reality Rift won once and the remaining four games ended in a draw, which includes the last two clashes that took place in June.

Considering most of these fixtures ended in a draw, it's fair to say Neon and Reality Rift are equally matched, however, at the provided odds, it makes much more sense for me to side with the underdogs, since I can't trust a team that has accumulated two losses and a draw against amateur rosters in the last week.

Nordavind vs Gambit Youngsters

Nine to Five 2

Nordavind are coming into the match with only two losses from the last five games, which came against NaVi Junior and HONORIS. On the other side, Nordavind had no problems defeating GamerLegion, SG.pro and CR4ZY, who are fairly strong teams so it is kind of shocking to see how inconsistent Nordavind are with their performances.

Nordavind also recently won the first literation of the Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup, with five straight wins over AGO (twice), sAw, Gambit Youngsters and HellRaisers. They have won a total of 56% of their matches for the past three months.

Gambit Youngsters are holding a 16-match winning streak, however, they did not face any tough opponents, so we have to take their streak with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, Gambit Youngsters are at least wining so you have to give credit where credit is due. Additionally, Gambit has lost only one map out of their last 16 games, so there is no denying Gambit are looking very solid.

Gambit Youngsters are on a roll and I simply don’t see how Nordavind will be able to stop them. Gambit putting up clean sweeps left and right and even though Noradivnd managed to beat Gambit Youngsters a couple of weeks ago, I can confidently say that they will be facing a completely different beast today. Expect Gambit Youngsters to produce another 2-0 win!

Endpoint vs LDLC

Nine to Five 2

Endpoint played their last match about two weeks ago when they lost to ALTERNATE aTTaX (0-2) in the Nine to Five 1 with 14-16 on Vertigo and 12-16 on Train. I would give Endpoint some slack for that loss, however, since the series ended up being very close and perhaps it's fair to say Endpoint were not too focused on the match but were instead looking forward a well-deserved vacation following their fourth-place finish at the ESEA MDL Season 34 Europe and second place in the Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup 2.

Even though LDLC have won only 47-6% of their matches across the last three months, they have looked much better in the last couple of weeks and managed a 10-3 record. Their only losses came against Gambit Youngsters who are undoubtedly one of the best tier2 teams as of now, making LDLC’s 10-3 run that much more impressive. What is even more impressive, however, is that LDLC were picking up wins against the likes of CR4ZY, SG.pro, FATE, Illuminar, which is quite an achievement for a team of their calibre.

Endpoint will likely enter this match a bit ring rusty after their long break and while it's true that they have a better map pool and arguably better tactics, LDLC's momentum will play a huge role here. Value bet on LDLC to win!
