Esports Betting Tips: CS:GO and Dota2 – Thursday, April 9th
FURIA vs MIBR
ESL Pro League Season 11 North America
FURIA and MiBR already met in the EPL a couple of days ago with FURIA coming out on top 2-1. Looking back at the head-to-head record between these two Brazilian sides for the past six months, MiBR have never defeated FURIA in a Bo3 match, which suggests things won't change here.
So far at ESL Pro League, FURIA defeated Liquid, MiBR and 100 Thieves, but lost to Swole Patrol and Evil Geniuses. MiBR, on the other side defeated 100 Thieves and Swole Patrol, while they lost to Liquid, FURIA, and Evil Geniuses. They look a bit better in their FLASHPOINT venture, where they won 7/8 matches, however, it's worth noting that FLASHPOINT is a significantly weaker league compared to ESL, so we should not put too much weight on those results.
In all fairness, neither team is in a particularly good form, but it's safe to say FURIA look much better at the moment, and with the h2h record firmly in their favour, there is no reason not to side with the stronger Brazilian side here. Bet on FURIA to win.
Ninjas in Pyjamas vs Chicken Fighters
ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Dota2 Online: Europe & CIS
Not a single competitive day has gone by at ESL One Los Angeles without an upset win or at least a shock result where the underdog outperformed everyone's expectations and there is no reason to believe Day 6 will be any different.
It should be clear where we are heading with this prediction, but perhaps it wouldn't be such a huge surprise to see Chicken Fighters win here as the odds would suggest. Chicken Fighters are by no means one of the elite teams, but neither are Ninjas in Pyjamas. They might have some of Dota2 legends on their roster, but their performances recently, namely throughout ESL One are not really ones to write home about. On Tuesday, NiP got stomped by Team Secret, while Chicken Fighters took NaVi to three maps. Two days prior, Chicken Fighters defeated Team Spirit, while NiP edged past Alliance. Based on their performances, these two sides seem equally matches, which suggests a close contest will be on the cards. A +1-5 handicap bet on Chicken Fighters is something to consider, however, we like the odds on over 2.5 maps better.
Alliance vs Team Spirit
ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Dota2 Online: Europe & CIS
Clean sweeps proved to be a rarity this tournament, however, looking at this match, we are confident we might be looking at a 2-0 score by the end of the day. There is no denying Alliance are not as strong as they used to be years ago, but they're still miles better compared to Team Spirit, who struggled against the likes of Chicken Fighters (1-2) and Unique (2-1). Alliance, on the other side, lost to NiP on Sunday (1-2), but immediately bounced back with a 2-1 win over Team Liquid on Monday.
Given that this is an online tournament, we would usually trust the underdogs to shock the favourites and pick up one map, but in this case, seeing Alliance pick up a clean sweep seems much more likely compared to Team Secret winning one map. Trust Alliance to pick up their first 2-0 of the tournament!
