Esports Betting Tips

We're back with another big day of Esports action on Monday night! Our Esports guru Michael Lee heads to the CS:GO ESEA Advanced Season 35 Europe to bring you his best Esports bets of the day.

ESports Betting Tips: Monday, November 16th

Sangal vs Lyngby Vikings

ESEA Advanced Season 35 Europe

Sangal and Lyngby Vikings met only once before - at the DreamHack Open Summer 2020 Europe Open Qualifier - when Lyngby Viking humiliated Sangal with 16-6 on Inferno. The main actor for Viking's win that day was Malthe "Twinx" Jensen, who managed 24 frags and a 1.66 HLTV Rating, whereas Ahmet "paz" Karahoca did his best to keep Sengal in the game with 20 frags and 1.36 HLTV rating, but it was not enough to carry his teammates who all failed to reach the 1.00 rating.

I would not put too much weight on that result since the BO1 qualifier matches are often a complete coin toss. Additionally, that game was played a couple of months ago and Sengal have since made a couple of roster changes.

Sengal (formerly Turkey5) are now being led by the former Space Soldiers duo in IGL Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli and coach Canpolat "hardstyle" Yildiran, which in my book looks like great foundation for a proper Turkish CS:GO superteam. Recently, Sengal defeated Real Betis and Wygers - who are both teams of the same quality than Vikings - and also took maps off Espada which is quite promising.

Sengal are not as bad as they seem to be and since they have defeated Real Betis and Wygers with 2-1, they should put up enough of a fight to keep this match exciting. Expect a tight match with all three maps played.

LDLC vs Lilmix

ESEA Advanced Season 35 Europe

LDLC and Lilmix last met about a month ago in the Betway Nine to Five 5 Dawn Group D decider match where LDLC reverse swept Lilmix to win 2-1. Lilmix started the series strong and won on Overpass with 16-7, but struggled to keep up the pace with the French side who took two convincing map wins with 16-8 on Train and 16-2 on Dust2.

Christophe "SIXER" Xia and Aurélien "afroo" Drapier had a phenomenal performance and ended the series with 1.35 and 1.32 HLTV rating respectively. On the side of Lilmix, only Jonathan "b0denmaster" Bodenmalm and Max "quix" Lindkvist looked somewhat decent with 1.25 and 1.10 HLTV ratings respectively.

LDLC are priced at around 1.40 for this match which I don't have an issue with. They have won four of the last five fixtures against Lilmix and seem poised to do it again. Even though some of their previous meetings were very close, I still don't believe in Lilmix, who did not show any sort of improvement since their last defeat. Bet on LDLC to win 2-0!

Budapest Five vs HREDS

ESEA Advanced Season 35 Europe

Budapest Five have won only two games out of the last five against Izako Boars and Wygers, but lost to Real Betis, 9INE and AGO. Even though Budapest Five's 2-3 record does not look too promising, I have to note some of their losses were extremely close so their record is not as bad as it may seem.

Budapest Five have won only 40% of their matches in the last three months and have recently attended qualifiers for the DreamHack Masters Winter 2020, Flashpoint 2, IEM New York 2020 Europe and Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup.

Like Budapest Five, HREDS have won only two games in the last five outings. They have bested the likes of Project X and The Dice but underperformed against mediocre tier-3 teams such as Lyngby Vikings, KOVA and SJ.

HRDES also hold a 40% win rate across the last three months, however, I would value their win rate slightly lower than that of Budapest Five since HRDES faced mostly weaker teams. HRDES have also attended only three tournaments since July and managed only a runner-up finish at the Rainmaker Open 2020, a third-place finishes at the Rainmaker Open Season 2 and are currently 10-6 at the ESEA Advanced Season 35 Europe.

HRDES will enter this match with two new players in Olli "oopee" Piispanen and Mikko "xartE" Välimaa who have played less than five official matches with the team which is obviously not ideal.

This seems like an easy match for Budapest Five who should win without dropping a map. Value bet on Budapest Five winning 2-0!
