Esports Betting Tips: Monday, May 24th
Endpoint vs Lyngby Vikings
Spring Sweet Spring #2
Endpoint and Lyngby Vikings will clash on Monday, May 24 in the first round of the Main Swiss Stage at Spring Sweet Spring #2. It will mark their first meeting of the tournament and their first since June 2020, when Endpoint won 2-0.
Endpoint enter this bout with a 1-4 record from their last five and are on a four-game losing streak. In their last four, Endpoint lost to Entropiq (1-2), SINNERS Esports (0-2), AGO (0-2), and SKADE (0-2), albeit they have picked up three decent wins earlier this month against SKADE (2-0), NaVi Jr. (2-0), and Team LDLC (2-1).
Lyngby Vikings are in slightly better form, having four out of their last five, which includes all of their last three - against 100PingGods (2-0), NASR Esports (2-0), and Astralis Talent (2-0). Even though Lyngby Vikings had to face weaker opponents than Endpoint, we shouldn't discredit their recent success.
Endpoint are favoured to win, since they were facing tougher opponents across the last couple of weeks, however, since they haven't managed to win many of those bouts, that hardly means anything. This should be a close series that can end in all three maps.
Movistar Riders vs forZe
Republeague Season 1
Movistar Riders lost their Republeague upper bracket bout against SINNERS Esports (0-2) with 13-16 on Mirage and 11-16 on Vertigo. The match wasn't nearly as one-sided as the final score would suggest and you can't really blame Movistar Riders for losing against SINNERS either.
Before that loss, Movistar Riders were on a two-game winning streak, beating the likes of Izako Boars (2-1), and Copenhagen Flames (2-0). As usual, Owen "smooya" Butterfield, who was doing most of the heavy lifting in those bouts, averaging 1.27 and 1.35 rating, respectively.
In Movistar Riders' game against SINNERS, smooya struggled and posted a 0.91 rating. Smooya underperforming and his team losing go hand-in hand, but that rarely happens against teams that lack star players.
One of those teams are forZe. They have lost against SAW (1-2) in their Republeague upper bracket quarter-finals match. Prior to that humiliating loss, forZe put up a few solid showings, namely a 2-1 win against Virtus.pro, but outside of their occasional flashes of greatness, the Russians haven't been playing too well of late.
These two teams lash clashed in April, when Movistar won the first bout 16-9 but lost the rematch 5-16. This is a complete coin-flip match that can go either way, but I have to take the side of smooya's crew at the offered odds.
Dignitas vs SINNERS Esports
Funspark ULTI 2021: Europe Season 2
Dignitas and SINNERS Esports met four times in 2021, securing two victories apiece. SINNERS Esports came out ahead 2-0 in January and March, while the last two meetings in April belonged to Dignitas, who won with 2-1.
Last time out - during the first season of Funspark ULTI - Dignitas reverse-swept the Czech squad with 16-11 on Nuke and 16-12 on Train, however, they could have easily lost had a few rounds ended the other way.
Dignitas now enter this match with a 2-3 record from their last five, which includes two 0-2 losses against ENCE and AGO. SINNERS are 3-2 in their last five and are currently on a two-game winning streak with two back-to-back victories against Movistar Riders (2-1).
This is another match with no clear winner. Dignitas might have won both of the last two head-to-head meetings, but they're struggling with their form. SINNERS have had a few poor showings recently as well, but they seem to be in solid form now. Take SINNERS Esports to win!
