Esports Betting Tips: Monday, May 11th

May 11th 2020, 11:59am, By: admin

Plenty of esports action coming up this Monday night and into Tuesday morning! We have a full preview and betting tips for the key matchups of the night below, including DOTA2 and CS:GO titles.

Esports Betting Tips: Monday, May 11th

VP.Prodigy vs Team Secret

DOTA2 WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1

VP.Prodigy are without a doubt the biggest surprise of WePlay! Pushka League. As an academy team of Virtus.pro, VP.Prodigy not only outperformed their main roster, but they're now only one step away from entering the grand finals, only a month after the team was formed. Although this roster already won Parimatch League Season 2 Relegation, Gaming World, StayHome Challenge and finished at the top of WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: CIS Qualifier, coming so far here, is their biggest achievement yet.

As much as we can praise VP.Prodigy for their achievements, it's hard to be too excited about their next bout against Team Secret. While Team Secret had their ups and downs, they have always held the tag of Pushka League favourites and after their dominant win against Liquid in the semi-finals, it's clear that Secret are ready to hoist another title. While we can take into the account Secret can drop the ball and underperform here, nine times out of ten, they should have no difficulties defeating VP.Prodigy due to the massive quality difference alone. Expect a clean sweep from Team Secret.

ViCi Gaming vs Newbee

DOTA2 DPL - CDA Professional League Season 1

In what is billed as one of the most one-sided fixtures of the week, ViCi Gaming will take on Newbee, who are entering this match as heavy underdogs and there are a few reasons for that. Newbee have not only failed to win a single notable tournament since July 2019, they are also enduring one of the worst runs in a long time. While Newbee looked solid at JJB Spring Cup Season 2, which they won, it was a minor tournament with no top-tier Dota2 teams in attendance. Once Newbee entered a tournament with at least half-decent teams, however, they started looking like a complete mess. Newbee will enter this match with a six-game losing streak behind them, losing against IG (0-2), PSG.LGD (0-2), EHOME (0-2), CDEC (1-2 and 0-2) and most recently against RNG (2-1) who defeated them this Sunday.

ViCi, on the other side have had their moments of weakness, but overall, this team looks set to have a successful season. ViCi are entering this bout with a 7-3 run in their last 10 fixtures, during which they lost only to CDEC (1-2), EHOME (1-2) and Aster (1-2), but picked up a win against IG (2-1) and PSG.LGD on Saturday. They also got revenge against CDEC (2-0) and Aster (2-1), showing their losses were fluke more than anything else.

Despite the fact that ViCi are objectively much stronger, we have to consider one crucial thing - ViCi will be playing PSG.LGD at the OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: China Grand Finals only a couple of hours before this match, which will take a lot out of them. Since this will be a very tough match, fatigue will set in and if ViCi end up losing, their morale will also take a huge hit. In a perfect world, ViCi would secure a clean sweep here, but since they have to play a tough match only hours before, Newbee will have a very good chance to steal at least one map.

ALTERNATE aTTaX vs Endpoint

CS:GO BLAST Rising 2020

These two teams have met three times so far in 2020 so far and have played a total of seven maps. Two of those seven maps ended up going into overtime, while the rest of the maps were extremely close. Their first meeting came at the ESEA Advanced Season 33 with Endpoint edging out a reverse-sweep 2-1 win, after coming from a map down (Mirage 7-16) to win the remaining two maps - that both went into overtime. ALTERNATE aTTaX got their revenge in the finals of ESEA Advanced Season 33, where they beat Endpoint 3-1 in a Bo5 type of match. The only map Endpoint "won" in that bout was the one they won by default since they entered the finals from the upper bracket. As for their most recent match, Endpoint managed to take a close 16-14 win on Inferno at the BLAST Rising 2020.

Endpoint indeed won the last match against ALTERNATE aTTaX, but we can't ignore that it was still an incredibly close win on Inferno. As the recent results suggest, all matches between these two sides are extremely close and I don't expect that will change here. Value bet on ALTERNATE aTTaX!
