Esports action continues this Monday night and into Tuesday morning as we take a look at some of the key matchups across the CS:GO landscape, focusing in on the cs_summit regional qualifiers, where there is some fantastic matchups.
Esports Betting Tips: Monday, June 22nd
Heroic vs Endpoint
cs_summit 6 Europe Regional Qualifier
Heroic are 3-2 in their last five matches. They lost to Virtus.pro and Spirit but managed to take down HellRaisers, Gambit Youngsters and Singularity. Heroic also recently won Home Sweet Home Cup 5 and LOOT.BET Season 6, as well as finished second at the Home Sweet Home 6, so we can say they will be entering this match in good spirits.
Endpoint, on the other end, lost only one match in their last five against Singularity, while they managed to pick up wins against FATE, Nordavind, mens and Gamer Legion. Same as Heroic, Endpoint were present at the Home Sweet Home Cups. They won season eight and finished as runners-up in the seventh season. Endpoint are also attending the ESEA MDL Season 34 Europe, where they lost just three matches out of nine played.
The last time Heroic faced Endpoint's roster (while still playing under Phoenix) was back at the grand finals of GG.BET Winter Cup, where Heroic came away with a comfortable 3-0 victory. Endpoint were outplayed on all maps back then, 16-8 on Vertigo, 16-5 on Mirage and 16-10 on Overpass. Nevertheless, the said match was played over six months ago and a lot has changed since. Heroic made multiple roster changes, while Endpoint definitely improved, which makes me believe they should be better prepared to face Heroic here.
The odds on Heroic offer no value in the current online format, so the best way to approach this bet is to side with Endpoint to keep it close.
OG vs Sprout
cs_summit 6 Europe Regional Qualifier
Both OG and Sprout are struggling with their form as of late. OG looked terrible at the recent BLAST Premier Spring 2020 Europe Finals, where they lost against Ninjas in Pyjamas and Complexity, and at the ESL Pro League Season 12 Europe Qualifier, where OG lost against mid-tier teams such as HAVU and forZe. OG are also entering this match with a five-game losing streak with an alarming 41% win rate across the past three months.
Sprout, on the other hand, are boasting with a 63% win rate across the past three months and but entering this match with only two wins out of last five played. They defeated mens and Wisla Krakow, but lost to forZe, Virtus.pro and HellRaisers.
Sprout might have a better record on every single map compared to OG, but considering the quality of teams Sprout played in recent months, their map win rate is a bit misleading. Although OG showed some struggles when facing weaker teams, they also played some of the best teams in the scene - something we can't say for Sprout, who haven't faced a proper team since May.
With all the talent and money OG have, they can't afford to lose to a team that fields players like Spiidi and denis. They might have looked a bit shaky in recent weeks, but OG are overall much stronger team and should win this one without any real issues. Bet on OG to get back to the winning ways!
c0ntact vs AVEZ
cs_summit 6 Europe Regional Qualifier
C0ntact are 3-2 in their last five matches, which includes wins over OG, FATE and Hard Legion and losses against Complexity and Smash. AVEZ, on the other side, won against Nordavind, sAw and Japaleno but lost against AGO and Illuminar.
AVEZ recently parted ways with MOLSI and signed a former VP player byali as a permanent replacement, while two of c0ntact players showed a great deal of struggle with their performances. Emi is averaging a poor 0.92 HLTV Rating while LETN1 produced only 0.89 HLTV rating across the last three months. Nevertheless, it was recently announced that Heroic's former player Snappi is set to join c0ntact, so he will likely replace one of the two "anchors".
This will be the first official meeting between c0ntact and AVEZ and considering it will be played online, it's difficult to pick out a winner. C0ntact have shown literally nothing in the past few months, so I'm not too sure about the odds offered on them. Something similar can be said about AVEZ and since their newest signing is known to have motivation issues, I'm not too sure whether he is the best fit for this team.
C0ntact have won just 25% of their matches in the last three months, which on paper looks much worse compared to AVEZ's 48% win rate, but considering c0ntact played much stronger teams than AVEZ, and even managed to claim a couple of maps, they are not as bad as it may seem.
C0ntact are still the most likely winners here, but they won't have an easy time against the young and talented AVEZ, who should at least win their map of choice. Bet on c0ntact to win 2-1.
