ESports Snow Sweet Snow

Today's Esports betting predictions take a look at Monday's Snow Sweet Snow 2 Regionals Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fixtures. The tournament will feature 44 European teams vying for the lion's share of $40,000 prize pool and plenty of betting opportunities for us to look at. As always, we recommend placing your bets with Picklebet for the best range of Esports betting markets in Australia.

Esports Betting Tips - Monday, February 15th

EC Kyiv vs 100PingGods

Snow Sweet Snow 2 Regionals

EC Kyiv are the betting favorites for this match which seems fair, considering this team has been together for way longer than 100PingGods. They were also been far more active of late and have even managed a very impressive win against Sprout just two weeks ago.

100PG have played a couple of official matches, however, those happened about 11 weeks ago, which is more or less everything we know about this team. The only relatively known player on this roster is Alikhan "w1nt3r" Kopzhanov, who has played for B.O.O.T-dream[S]cape two years ago, which is nothing to write home about.

Even though neither side field any exceptional talent, you have to favor EC Kyiv. They have a stronger synergy and are at least entering this match warmed up. This should be an easy 2-0 for the Ukrainians.

1WIN vs Trident Clan

Snow Sweet Snow 2 Regionals

1WIN and Trident Clan last met way back in November 2020, during the European Development Championship 1 Closed Qualifier, when Trident (while playing under Cyber Legacy) won 2-0 with 16-11 on Train and 16-13 on Mirage.

There have been some roster changes since then, so it might not be wise to put too much weight on that result. That said, Trident have kept their core more or less intact and that should count for something in such a close matchup.

Both teams enter this tournament off a two-week break, which leads me to believe we are in for an open match where any side can win. The betting odds are in favor of 1WIN, likely due to their stronger record, however, in the online era of CS and at this level of play, results like that don't mean much. Value bet on Trident!

HellRaisers vs GROND

Snow Sweet Snow 2 Regionals

Guy "anarkez" Trachtman has recently joined HellRaisers on trial as a replacement for benched in-game leader Dmitriy "jR" Chervak, which is a very big upgrade in my book. Although benching your IGL might not seem like a smart move, HellRaisers still have Nikolaj "kAliNkA" Rysakov to take over that role, so it’s not like HellRaisers have downgraded with those roster change.

HellRaisers are a team I was not too excited about when they were first announced, but they have made some good roster moves in the last couple of months. And I must admit, they now look like a proper tier-2 team.

GROND have only four official matches on record, which includes one BO1 victory against HONORIS, but also losses against tier2 and 3 teams such as StylDunow, Sinners and BEZ ZP. Since this is a semi-pro team, we don't know much about them outside of those four results and that makes it very difficult to trust them with our money.

Like it's the case with the EC Kyiv vs 100PG, we have to take the more experienced and established squad over the stack of "unknowns". Anything less than a 2-0 victory will be a disappointment for HellRaisers.

Winstrike vs Team Unique

Snow Sweet Snow 2 Regionals

Winstrike have been on a roll of late, and enter this match with only one loss in their last five. Their only loss came against forZe - which was a match Winstirke should have arguably won - but outside of that, Winstrike were fairly impressed with what they have been showing recently.

Winstrike hold a 71.4% win rate across the last three months and seem to be playing even better since they have acquired Ladislav "Krad" Kravchenko and Igor "Forester" Bezotecheskiy from Hard Legion. While I am impressed with how Winstrike are performing, I can't say the same about Team Unique.

Unlike their regional rivals, Unique managed only one win in their last five and even that came against The Incas, which is hardly worth celebrating.

On the other side, Unique dropped the ball against the likes of Vexed, 1WIN, SG.pro and HellRaisers, which should be a much better indication of how weak this team really is. What's more, Unique haven't played a single official so far this month, so it's anyone's guess what form we can expect from them on Monday.

Unless we are in for a huge upset win to start off the first day of Snow Sweet Snow 2 Regionals, this should be a clean 2-0 win for Winstrike. Although they have previously dropped games against teams weaker than them, I just don't see how they will struggle against ring-rusty Unique.
