ESports Betting Tips: Monday, December 14th
Wisla Krakow vs Dignitas
Nine to Five 7
Both sides have recorded a 3-2 record in their last five outings. Wisla Krakow won three in a row against K23, Lilmic and Izako Boars prior to losing against Izako Boars, Sprout and SKADE. Dignitas, meanwhile, lost only against AVEZ and K23, but had a fairly easy time against Apeks, x6tence and Espada.
Dignitas should in theory be the stronger team here, but they have not convinced me with their performances. Although they have looked good against Apeks and Espada, Dignitas played extremely poorly against K23 and AVEZ. Nevertheless, some of their losses were very close, so perhaps they deserve some slack.
Dignitas also field a couple of youngsters who seem excited to be playing alongside CS:GO legends in f0rest and friberg, so morale is likely high despite the occasional defeat.
Wisla Krakow, on the other side, are nothing special. They are similar to Dignitas in a way that they lose matches they should have otherwise won, but I still prefer Dignitas for this match. There are no previous meetings between these two sides, so I'm siding with the young blood in the ranks of Dignitas to lock in their first win against Wisla Krakow. Bet on Dignitas to win!
AVEZ vs K23
Nine to Five 7
AVEZ and K23 have last met in July when K23 (then Syman) defeated AVEZ with 2-1. The Polish squad took the series lead with 16-13 win on Nuke, but fell apart on Inferno and Train which they lost with 19-22 and 14-16 respectively.
David "n0rb3r7" Danielyan was the highest-rated player of the day with 80 frags and 1.16 HLTV rating. On the side of AVEZ, Kamil "KEi" Pietkun was the stand out performer with 72 frags and 1.12 HLTV rating. Apart from Paweł "byali" Bieliński leaving AVEZ in favour of Kacper "Riczi Maszynka" Benc, nothing has really changed in these two squads, so we can expect another close match on Monday.
AVEZ have done surprisingly well in their journey through the Nine to Five 7 where they locked in three wins against the likes of Espada, Dignitas and Copenhagen Flames, whereas K23 struggled on certain maps, but still sport the same 3-1 record with triumphs over ex-ETHEREAL, Dignitas and Copenhagen Flames and a loss against Wisla Krakow.
K23 seem like the stronger team and should win this match, but AVEZ definitely have the tools to keep the series close and interesting. Bet on Over 2.50 Maps
Espada vs Movistar Riders
European Development Championship 1
Espada enter this match in a terrible form with only one win across the last five matches against a relatively unknown squad XSET and four losses against Virtus.pro, Dignitas, forZe and ex-ETHEREAL. Movistar Riders did slightly better with two wins in their last five outings against Giants and Queso and losses against Sangal, Gambit and sAw.
I don't think Movistar Riders should be priced as such big underdog here, especially for an online BO1 series. It's not too uncommon to see a couple of lucky rounds turn these types of games upside down, so it's not unlikely for underdogs to take an upset win.
Movistar Riders are not in the form of their lives, but they were a bit unlucky in some of their fixtures, namely against Gambit and sAw. In the latter, they completely collapsed on Inferno as CT and failed to win a single map on an otherwise CT-sided map. That is not to say Movistar Riders are a far better team than Espada but they should at least keep Espada on their toes. Value bet on Movistar Riders to keep this one close!
