Michael Lee is back with his esports betting predictions for three Counter-Strike: Global Offensive matches in CCT Central Europe, Elisa Invitational 2022 Fall, and Gamers Club Liga Serie A. Today he looks at SKADE vs Tricked Esports, KOVA vs 777 Esports, and Daotsu vs Meta BR.
Esports Betting Tips: Monday 29th August
SKADE vs Tricked Esports
CCT Central Europe Series #1
SKADE got off to a strong start to the tournament, winning their opening two games against MASONIC (2-0) and PALOMA (2-0), but they slipped on Saturday when they lost against Aurora (0-2). However, that shouldn't count as a defeat.
Even though SKADE lost the series, they only lost the first map (16-19) and were forced to forfeit the second map due to a conflicting schedule with another event. More importantly - across all tournaments, SKADE have managed a 6-3 record since the start of the month, which includes the aforementioned forfeit defeat against Aurora.
Tricked Esports hold the same 2-1 record at CCT Central Europe Series #1 with wins against X (2-0) and Monte (2-1) and a defeat against Dynamo Eclot (0-2). Across all tournaments Tricked have attended this month, the Danish roster has put together a 7-7 record, including a 3-2 run across their last five matches.
Form-wise, SKADE and Tricked look equally strong, so I don't see a good reason why SKADE are 1.33 favourites to win. They won against stronger teams in June, but they haven't shown much since, or at least not much more than Tricked. SKADE should be slightly favoured, but this price is way too high.

KOVA vs 777 Esports
Elisa Invitational 2022 Fall
777 Esports and KOVA are both 0-2, meaning that whoever loses this match will be locked out of the Main Stage. Although a tough position to be in, KOVA and 777 both deserve to be where they are.
KOVA have lost against JANO Esports and Sashi Esports, while 777 Esports have lost against B8 and Hotspurs. Neither team had to play any tough teams, so I can't draw any conclusion from their past matches. And even their past results aren't that much different.
777 Esports defeated KOVA the last time these two teams met, but it was in March, so it doesn't mean much. This is a match where you have to pick between two bad teams, essentially trying to figure out which one is worse.
While it's tough to pick a side, I liked what I saw from KOVA more over the last week. As a team, KOVA aren't good, but they have players who can step up and win them crucial rounds. And that just might be enough for KOVA to win.

Daotsu Esports vs Meta BR
Gamers Club Liga Serie A: August 2022
Daotsu Esports have done enough to qualify for the Gamers Club Liga Serie A: August 2022 playoffs, finishing Group B in second place with a 3-1 record and +31 map difference. They've since pocketed a forfeit win against SWS Gaming in the quarter-finals but then lost against The Union (13-16, 1-16).
Meta Gaming BR have achieved just as much in the group stage, finishing Group A in second with a 3-1 record and +7 map difference. But Meta Gaming BR also played just one game (2-0 against SWS Gaming). In the remaining three, Meta either had to forfeit the match (against The Union) or picked up a forfeit win (against ODDIK and ex-TotalePro).
The group stage hasn't offered enough for me to draw any conclusions, but we know that Meta BR are 2-2 in the head-to-head with two defeats (0-1, 0-1) and back-to-back wins in July (2-0, 2-1).
Since Meta BR won the last two meetings with Daotsu, it's reasonable to think that they should win this match as well. But that's a bad reason for having Meta BR priced as 1.53 favourites, especially since they've played just one game during the group stage and haven't been too active across other competitions.
As their past H2H results show, Daoptsu and Meta BR are evenly matched, so it's easy to side with Daotsu at 2.37.
