Canterbury Park Racing Tips: Wednesday, August 6th 2025
Race 3: The Agency Real Estate BM64 – 1100m - 2:00pm (AEST)
(1) Infusion $4.20: 4YO Mare who proved too good in her first career run winning over this track/trip on the heavy conditions. Tackles the same conditions this time and will only be improving. Early market support suggests they stable are confident. Chance.
(4) Canpikapony $23.00/$5.50: 4YO Mare who won first up in this grade nicely and then failed to fire second up in tougher grade over this trip. She drops back in grade now and gets the top booking of J-Mac which boosts confidence. Drawn a lovely gate and rates well on paper. Both career wins come from the wet track, so must be respected in these conditions. Over the odds.
(13) Southern Heiress $3.50: 3YO Filly who was superb in her first career run destroying her rivals by more than 3L. She boasted a nice turn of foot and looks ready for this trip/grade. Major player.
(4) Canpikapony E/W
$23/$5.50 (0.5/1U)
Race 5: Casino Prince @ Vinery Stud BM72 - 1550m – 3:10pm (AEST)
(1) No Drama $5.00: 6YO Gelding who has been sound in his last two runs and hasn’t been beaten all that far when having to lug big weights. Gets in nicely this time with the 2kg claim bringing him back to only 60.5kg. Drawn pole position and is a genuine wet tracker. Rock hard fit and ready to strike.
(3) Bat Out Of Hell $4.60: 6YO gelding who was sound last start, but just couldn’t match the winner. Continues to improve and has a good record over this track/trip. Nash steers for Baker which will have plenty of admirers.
(5) Seven’s $5.00: Lightly raced 5YO gelding who has trialled nicely on two occasions leading into this first up run. Drawn nicely and has 2 wins and a third on the soft track, so no reason why he wont handle the heavy. Value.
(1) No Drama
$5.00 (1 Unit)
Race 7: Asahi Super Dry BM72 – 1900m - 4:20pm (AEST)
(6) Hovland $9.50/$2.80: 4YO Gelding who has continued to progress and was domiant over 1800m at Hawksbury two runs back before tackling this track/grade/trip last start and finished midfield, but only a length off the winner and started $3.20. No reason he cant give sight once again here. J-Mac jumps off to ride a rival which may lose a few admirers.
(7) Misterkipchoge $7.50/$2.40: 5YO Gelding who can find it hard to win, but generally runs a honest race. His win three back was terrific and if he can get a nice tow into the race from the wide draw he can be expected to hit the line strongly. Value.
(9) Bright Red $5.00: 5YO Mare who is another one that generally runs a nice race, but can find it hard to win. She is rock hard fit now having five runs under her belt this campaign and gets James McDonald back into the saddle for Waller which boosts confidence. Drawn nicely and has a handy enough record on the heavy track. Rates well and looks to be right in this.
(9) Bright Red
$5.00 (1 Unit)
