The 2020 Call of Duty League continues this weekend as we head to Los Angeles for the next stop on the home-series tour.
Games get underway on Saturday morning (AEDT) and as usual, we have a full preview and betting tips for the weekend’s action below!
Call of Duty League Week 4 (Los Angeles) Betting Tips
The Atlanta FaZe saluted at home in Week 3 of the season and they’ll be looking to become the first side to win back to back events this season as they enter the LA as the red hot favourites.
The squad of Abezy, Cellium, Priestahh, MajorManiak and Simp blew the competition out of the water in Atlanta, going through the losing just three total maps through four matchups and dominating the Florida Mutineers 3-0 in the final.
With the win, Atlanta moved to second on the Call of Duty League standings, just 20 points behind the Chicago Huntsmen with a game in hand. The’ll be able to make up that difference with another solid performance this week, as the Huntsmen are one of four teams not making the trip to LA.
Prediction
Group A: Minnesota ROKKR, Seattle Surge, Los Angeles Guerrillas, Optic Gaming LA
Group B: Atlanta FaZe, Florida Mutineers, Dallas Empire, New York Subliners
The Atlanta FaZe start as almost unbackable favourites here after their dominant performance in their home event. It’s tough to look past them once again but we are going to be hunting a bit more value this weekend and hope that someone can cause an upset.
The first team we’ll be looking at is the Dallas Empire. The Empire had the week off for the Atlanta event so should be coming into LA fired up and ready to play. They were solid in the first event of the season in London, finishing second to the Huntsmen and they currently sit in seventh place in the standings with an event in hand.
The Dallas Empire were one of the re-season favourites to take out the whole Call of Duty league and despite a bit of a slow start to the season, they still have to be considered one of the better teams in the world.
The Empire boast two 2xCall of Duty Championship winners in Clayster and Crimsix, the latter being the winningest player in Call of Duty history. It’s hard to see Crim staying down for too long, expect him to lead the Empire to a strong finish in LA, the tournament hosted by his old team, Optic Gaming.
