Leader After Round
The leader after Round 5/6/10 are some of the most popular Brownlow betting markets available. While it’s often very close and ties or upsets are possible given the narrow range of matches, this year it looks pretty certain that Nick Daicos is going to be leading early. We have him polling in four of the first five games, and five of the first six to jump to a significant lead.
If you can multi the $1.25 for Daicos to lead after Round 5 then that’s a solid banker for the night.

You’ll get more value for Nick Daicos to be leading after Round 10. It’s certainly a lot closer at that point with several players around the same mark. However we have Daicos 1.5 votes clear of Jordan Dawson at that point. While Dawson and Zak Butters are at their capacity in our projections at that point, someone like Clayton Oliver has greater potential. We have Oliver polling in seven of the first ten rounds, but with only one 3 vote game in that. If a couple of 2’s turn into 3’s on Brownlow night, then he looks the threat at Round 10.

This market is always a fun one and this year it’s no exception with Brownlow favourite Nick Daicos missing the majority of this period through injury. This market is a clear win for Errol Gulden for us and it’s hard to see him not getting noticed out on the wing racking up mountains of disposals.

Melbourne games are difficult to predict sometimes with Petracca, Gawn, Oliver and Viney all capable of taking votes from one another. We’ve given Petracca two 0.5 games, which means he’s on the edge of either 0 or 1 votes for the match which may determine his fate in this market. His nearest threat is Zak Butters with 14 games polled, and only one 0.5 game.

On pure 3 vote games we have Nick Daicos and Marcus Bontempelli both with a total of 7, however when we factor in the 2.5 games (that is, games where we think they are a chance of either 2 or 3 votes), then Daicos and Zak Butters both have potential of 8, whereas Bontempelli could potentially have as many as 9. It’s hard to see anyone outside of those three winning this market.
