Exciting new Australian sportsbook betr has launched this week with a couple of very impressive offers designed to quickly capture the attention of the sports betting community.
Betr is the latest venture from Matthew Tripp, who previously built, and then sold on, top Australian sports betting brands such as Sportsbet and BetEasy. Tripp has teamed with News Corp Australia, Tekkorp Capital and BetMakers to launch the new betting brand in time for the major Spring racing meetings.
Betr have splashed themselves across billboards, TV’s advertisements and print media this week, thanks to their media partnerships, while they have launched their website with some ridiculously good value offers to attract new customers.

For the Cox Plate, you can pick anyone in the field and get odds of $20 for a maximum single $10 bet. Of course, the hot favourite Anamoe is currently around even money elsewhere so this is an incredible price.
Meanwhile if you like something in the Melbourne Cup, betr are giving you odds of $101 on every horse. Again it’s a maximum single $10 bet but the value compared to other bookies prices is enormous.
The value doesn’t end there

“We haven’t re-entered this market to play second fiddle to anyone,” said Tripp in a media statement.
“We believe we will be - certainly a tier one operator very quickly - but in time, the most prominent brand in the country.”
It was recently reported that betr had acquired the digital assets of Texbet to help expedite their launch into the market. Texbet continues to operate as a stand alone site as betr launches.
