Brownlow Betting Odds 2026

August 24th 2026, 10:20am, By: Brownlow Bandit

The Brownlow Medal is always a popular betting market. It's the only sporting event where you can bet on the runners after the race has already been run! If you follow our Brownlow betting tips throughout the season, we'll try to look for value during the year so that by the season's end we have a nice profitable green book to enjoy the Brownlow Medal evening.

Patrick Cripps was the runaway Brownlow winner in 2024 with a record breaking 45 votes, while young superstar Matt Rowell was a surprise winner last season. His in-and-under style clearly grabbed the attention of the umpires who awarded him several best-on-ground votes in games where it was unexpected. Allowing for umpire nuisances is one of the great challenge of betting on the Brownlow!

Matt Rowell Wins Brownlow

Unfortunately for Rowell, he injured his finger during the recent State of Origin which means surgery has ruled him out for the first month of the season. That has bumped his odds back to a juicy $26 which might not be a bad entry point for your Brownlow betting this season.

The favourite at the start of the season is Collingwood superstar Nick Daicos at odds of just $5.00. That's very short odds despite his back-to-back runner-up finishes over the past two seasons. He's unlucky not to already have a Brownlow Medal in his possession and there's no doubt that 2026 might be his year, but that's a price that might be worth fading, at least for now.

Marcus Bontempelli ($8.00) is another who seems destined to one day win a Brownlow Medal and if he can stay fit, then he's going to be right in the finish once again.

After that, it's the young superstars that are taking the competition by storm with Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera ($10), Zak Butters ($15), Bailey Smith ($17) and Will Ashcroft ($17) on the next lines of betting.

If you want to hunt wider for some value then Isaac Heeney ($26) and Finn Callaghan ($29) look set to dominate in Sydney, while Harry Sheezel ($101), Sam Darcy ($101) and Harley Reid ($101) may all lay claims to be the best player in the competition by the end of the season.

Remember, this is a live market and the prices may fluctutate. For all the latest Brownlow betting odds, head to Neds where you'll get a great range of betting markets and options for the AFL this season.
