2026 Brownlow Medal
Follow the 2026 Brownlow Medal race with Before You Bet's complete projected vote count. Below you'll find our leading contenders, every club's top vote-getters and the total number of projected Brownlow votes accumulated by each team.
The BYB Brownlow Medal count assesses every AFL match throughout the season and awards projected umpire votes. Where a vote is considered particularly close, half-votes are used — for example 2.5 or 1.5 — to better represent uncertainty between two players. This gives us both an overall leaderboard and a detailed look at who we expect to poll the most votes for every AFL club.

About the BYB count: These are Before You Bet projected Brownlow votes rather than official AFL umpire votes. Half-votes such as 0.5, 1.5 and 2.5 are used where our analysts consider a voting position particularly close. Team totals include every projected vote recorded for that club, not just the five players displayed above.
