Bendigo Racing Tips: Wednesday September 21st

September 20th 2022, 6:36pm, By: Brendan Bunworth

Bendigo Racing Tips

Bendigo hosts midweek racing on Wednesday with nine competitive races on the card in what should be beautiful conditions for racing with the top of 19 degrees.

The track is currently rated a Heavy 9 and race one, a 2400m event will get us underway at 12:30pm.

Let’s get stuck into Brendan Bunworth’s best bets for the card!

Bendigo Racing Tips: Wednesday September 21st

Race 1

(2) Guido is proven at this distance and wasn't too far away last time when second at Geelong on the Heavy 8 surface. Tahlia Hope takes the ride for Mitch Freedman and Bendigo should suit the galloper with its long straight as he does find the line hard. Before his second at Geelong was a good third at Echuca on similar ground so the track conditions shouldnt be an issue.

(1) Aerospace has run second his last couple and is another with a good finish on him. Dean Yendall takes the ride this time and he could be making his run alongside our top pick as they do have similar racing patterns.

(5) Rangi Time looks like he will go better at this distance as he does seem like a stayer.

(6) Six Degrees is a bit green still but did run third in the same race (Geelong) as our to pick last start.

(2) Guido WIN

$2.80 (2 Units)

Race 2

(1) Ferrari Man led, then kicked but got done a nose at Sandown Hillside last start and if he can lead again and control the tempo he should be going close. Before that he was second to Elkington Road who was a Pakenham winner on Monday after starting favourite so that race reads strong formlines for this. This horse that collared him last start has big raps on him so Ferrari Man looks very hard to toss in this.

(3) Thisismyturf ran second two starts back on a Heavy 8 surface at Ballarat so track conditions suit. He will settle midfield and should be strong to the line with fitness on his side after four runs under his belt this time in.

(4) Warchime stormed home for a second at Ballarat last start and if the pace is on he is one to watch late. He rises in distance from his two 1400m runs and Teo Nugent stays on for Robert Hickmott.

(6) Affair A Suivre is an interesting first starter who has had a few nice trials under her belt. I would be keeping an eye on her for a race in a few weeks time.

(1) Ferrari Man WIN

$2.30 (4 Units)

Race 6

(5) Tori’s Dee loses nothing being without Damien Oliver today as Craig Williams hops on after his luckless fifth last time at Mornington on a Heavy9. He has been backed to win in all starts this prep and I expect no different in this race after a second and first before his last start fifth. He is pretty fit now and should settle around third or fourth from barrier seven.

(9) Schwoon won well on debut but is first up after a 10-month spell. His latest two trials have been against some handy types and he has held his own in them.

(3) El Salto is in consistent form having won and placing a second in his last two attempts. At Mornington last time on a Heavy 9 he ran on very nicely to only miss by half a length so he is one to watch late.

(1) Lovin Laughs’ won well at this track last start but is up in class. He is an on pace runner who should be in this for a long way.

(5) Tori’s Dee WIN

$3.60 (2 Units)

Race 9

(6) Obfuscation has a strong finish on him and Bendigo should suit his racing pattern. He got too far back last time at Sale but still ran home well for third on a Soft track. The winner of that race placed last Wednesday after getting backed in and The Heavy shouldn't worry him and Simon Zahra can send him home a winner in the “Get Out” Stakes.

(7) Perceptive is first up from a spell and ran an unlucky fourth in a Listed race at Morphettville last time.

(1) Mister Me will be up on speed and should be in this race for a long way.

(10) Eyesonlyonme is making his Australian debut and i will watch him go around this time.

(6) Obfuscation WIN

$2.80 (3 Units)
