Another AFL Super Saturday is upon us for Round 22 with just three more rounds of the regular season before finals get underway!
Four games come our way, and all four present a pretty comfortable favourite. Not great for viewing but not too bad for AFL fantasy! First up the Tigers will meet the Saints who are gunning for three wins in a row in a late resurgence of their season. The Lions will then host the Swans in the twilight match before two night games complete the day’s action. The Blues will be looking to take it up to the Suns, while the Dockers will be wanting to maintain their spot in the top eight against the Power.
As always, this is all about the daily fantasy and this Saturday slate draws another massive $50,000 prize pool at Draftstars in their main contest, plus more qualifiers for the $1 million AFL Star contest! In addition, there are a variety of alternate contests:
AFL $50,000+ Saturday at Draftstars
AFL $5,000+ Saturday High Roller ($150 Entry) at Draftstars
AFL $3,000+ Saturday Mini ($2 Entry) at Draftstars

AFL Daily Fantasy Lineup Tips: Round 22 Saturday
AFL Round 22 Saturday: Where to Attack?
With four strong favourites, there’s plenty of different ways to attack this slate and stacking options will be popular.
The Tigers continue to give up massive fantasy points all over the ground with all Saints in play across all positions. If there’s any spot you might want to go against the Saints it’s in the ruck where Rowan Marshall is exploitable.
The Lions and Swans are much tougher to go against with no real areas to attack. Brodie Grundy is currently the toughest ruckman in the league to go against, while the Swans are particularly hard to score against for inside midfielders and key forwards. Defenders have a hard time against the Lions, so it’s a tricky game to find much edge.
The Blues concede big points to opposition key forwards, while wingers and outside defenders are also in play against the Blues. The Suns don’t have any big trends to watch out for, but both teams are tough to score against in the ruck.
For the Power, it might be better to look at the last five weeks of data only as the wheels have certainly fallen off lately. They have been among the league worst in conceding points to opposition forwards during that time, while at the same time, giving up big points to defenders. The Dockers are much tighter, particularly to the designated kicker and outside defenders.
Game scripts: Saints stacks, Suns key forwards, Dockers forwards/defenders
AFL Round 22 Saturday: Our Value Fantasy Picks
Ethan Reed ($6,000) is still available at minimum price after a strong score of 89 last week against the Tigers. He’s starting to look like a good option for the Suns as a key forward and second ruck, and draws a good match up here against the Blues who have struggled with key forwards recently.
Max Heath ($7,750) is another promising young ruckman who is starting to show glimpses of his potential. He’s a little more expensive than Reid, but gets the gun match up against the Tigers. Heath was able to convert a couple of goals last week which helped him to a score of 69, but he does seem to get decent minutes as the second ruck which helps his floor.
AFL Round 22 Saturday: Our Mid-Priced Fantasy Picks
Jack Macrae ($13,840) is at a nice price for someone with a huge ceiling as evident by his 153 earlier in the year. His form has tapered off since then, but Macrae will enjoy skiing downhill against the Tigers and should have an easy enough time finding plenty of ball. Jack Steele ($14,260) is also at a similar price if you want a bounce back game for his 200th after starting as the sub last week.
AFL Round 22 Saturday: Our Premium Fantasy Picks
Brodie Grundy ($17,970) is a huge price but his form is amazing with a 150 last week on the back of a staggering 39 disposals which is crazy for a ruckman. He’s had nine scores of 120+ in his last ten and should be far too strong for Darcy Fort.
Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera ($18,050) is now an enormous price with a season average of 113, a recent average of 135.3 and a gun match up against the Tigers. NWM is emerging as a super star of the competition and his form is sensational, but you’ll have to find some good value picks to fit him into your salary cap.

Weather Report Saturday August 9th 2025
Melbourne - Mostly sunny, 15 degrees.
Brisbane - Light rain, 18 degrees.
Adelaide - Light rain, 15 degrees.
There could be some light rain around in Brisbane and Adelaide, but doesn't look like enough to affect fantasy scoring at all. As always, keep an eye on the radar closer to the match and adjust accordingly.
