Elina Svitolina vs Martina Trevisan

Although this does feel a little bit like a trap, my ratings show Svitolina as value in this match up. Elina comes into this one off the back of her best week on tour since becoming a mum, and it finished in convincing fashion in the final a couple of days ago, defeating Blinkova 6-2 6-3. It wasn’t an overly taxing match-up, and she should be relatively recovered here as she takes on Martina Trevisan tonight.
Trevisan has produced some of the best tennis of her career at Roland Garros, and will be hoping for a change of fortune as she now heads back to Paris. She comes into this one off some disappointing form, and also picked up a calf issue in Rabat, causing her to retire from her title defence.
I don’t think this is a great match-up for Trevisan given her form, her fitness, and how Svitolina matches up stylistically against the leftie. I’ll keep this to one unit, however there is some value here in taking Svitolina.
