The 2018 Formula 1 season continues this weekend as we head to Silverstone Circuit in England for the Annual British Grand Prix. We take a look at the event in full and give our betting tips below.
It was a bit of a weird week in Round 9 of the Formula 1 season a few weeks ago as Max Verstappen took out the Austrian Grand Prix ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel. All around it was a good weekend for Ferrari as the Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen from Team Haas finished in 4th and 5th place respectively.
It was a tough weekend for championship hopefuls Lewis Hamilton and Daniel Ricciardo, who both retired from the race. With the 3rd place finish, Vettel moved into the top spot on the Drivers Championship, while Daniel Ricciardo slipped to 4th with the retirement.
Hamilton will be desperate to bounce back from a disappointing finish in Austria in his home Grand Prix this weekend, which he has won for the past four years in a row and five total times.
Silverstone has been the permanent home of the British Grand Prix since 1987, when the year on-year off alternation with Brands Hatch ended. The course is described by drivers as one of the faster tracks on the F1 tour, and one that proposes tough challenges when trying to overtake.
Regardless of how the track is playing and the weather conditions, this race is Lewis Hamilton’s to lose. The Mercedes driver has had issues with his car throughout the 2018 season so far, and the fuel pressure problem that forced him to retire in Austria was just the latest in a string of issues with the manufacturer. Despite the problems, Hamilton has still managed to pick up three wins so far this season and has only finished outside the podium on three occasions.
Hard to look past the hometown hero here, Hamilton is our tip to take out the 2018 Formula 1 British Grand Prix.

For the value pick in the British Grand Prix, we are looking towards Kimi Raikkonen of the Ferrari team. He has been stellar of late, claiming podium finishes in his last two races and hasn’t finished outside the top six all. He has five podium finishes so far this season and finished third in last season’s British GP.
