2018-19 NBA Betting Tips: Saturday, 27th October

October 26th 2018, 3:46pm, By: admin

We’re coming off a solid 2-1 day on Thursday and will be looking to keep our winning form going. There’s a tasty seven-game slate set to play on Saturday, which includes some exciting games between some of the best teams in the league. As usual, we’ve provided previews and best bets for the best value games of the day!

NBA Saturday 27th October Betting Tips

Chicago Bulls at Charlotte Hornets (10am AEDT)

Our first play of an exciting Saturday slate comes from the Chicago Bulls at Charlotte Hornets match-up. Interestingly, these two teams played just two days prior where it was the Bulls who came out on top at home, defeating the Hornets by two points in a nail biter. That win was the Bulls first of the season, taking them to 1-3, while the loss took the Hornets to 2-3.

In our view, the Bulls are building and are far from the worst team in the East. We have them not too far behind the Hornets in our season predictions. The current level that Zach LaVine is playing at is amazing. He’s poured in 30+ points in all four of his games this season while shooting a stellar 57% from the field. On the other hand, we have Kemba Walker who has been on a tear himself. He’s averaging 31 points through five games, shooting a very nice 44% from beyond-the-arc for the Hornets.

We’re surprised to see the Hornets come into this one at such short odds considering they lost to the Bulls just two days prior to this meeting. We saw enough from that encounter and a few other close games by the Bulls to feel that they’re going to cover the very generous line offered by the Bookies.

Los Angeles Clippers at Houston Rockets (11am AEDT)

Another game we have our eye on from the Saturday slate is the Los Angeles Clippers at Houston Rockets game. The Clippers have been solid without being necessarily good this season and hold a 2-2 record after four games. Meanwhile, the Rockets have really struggled and currently hold a 1-3 record, which has them in 12th place in the Western Conference.

The Clippers are a team full of established veterans who are going to compete night in and night out. However, they lack a real star presence that can take over a game when push comes to shove in the fourth quarter. For the Rockets, this is close to a must-win game as they find themselves in a poor position early in the season. Good news for them is they welcome back perennial all-star Chris Paul from suspension.

Even without James Harden suiting up we still have the Rockets as the significantly better team in this match-up. We think that they will come into this one with a sense of urgency and separate themselves from the veteran Clippers early on.

Rockets at the line (-2.5)

$1.87

Milwaukee Bucks at Minnesota Timberwolves (11am AEDT)

The final game we’re looking at in the Saturday slate is the Milwaukee Bucks at Minnesota Timberwolves match-up. The Bucks have been really impressive on their way to a faultless 4-0 start to the season, while the Timberwolves have stumbled their way to 2-3 on the back of some inconsistent performances.

The Bucks have employed a new style of play this season, almost doubling the amount of three-point field goal attempts per game compared to a season ago. Led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks have overcame all early challenges that have come their way. On the other hand, Minnesota have shown signs of a team that is clearly rattled by the Jimmy Butler saga. Their lack of communication on both ends of the floor is evident and will be a major factor in their game against the fast-paced Bucks.

The Timberwolves are too inconsistent to like at their current odds, while the Bucks seem excellent value for money. They should prove to be too strong in this one
