2017-18 NBA Betting Tips: Saturday, 13th January Games

January 12th 2018, 2:13pm, By: andyrosos

Another decent day of NBA Betting Tips on Thursday took out tally to 12/15 over the last five days! We’ll be looking to continue our hot string of form here as we take a look at some of the key games in the NBA this Saturday, the 13th of January.

Golden State Warriors at Milwaukee Bucks (12pm AEDT)

Star Warriors Curry could miss Saturday’s clash against the Bucks after the point guard slipped on a wet spot and injuring his ankle during a shoot around earlier in the week. Curry missed Wednesday’s game against the Clippers with the injury, and with the Warriors already holding a four game lead in the Western Conference, there’s a good chance that he’ll be held from this clash as well, especially as it’s the first of a back to back.

The Warriors lost that game to LA by 19 points as Clippers guard Lou Williams went off for 50 points. However, Klay Thompson will also be back in the lineup after missing the Clippers game through rest, adding to the Warriors scoring depth in the first of their five game road trip.

The Bucks defeated the Magic in their last game and have won 5 of their last 10 to currently sit 6th in the Western Conference. Giannis Antekounmpo remains the barometer for Milwaukee, but ultimately it’s been a failry inconsistent season by the franchise. We’ve bet against the Warriors at the line in the past few slates of tips and come up trumps, however, at just 4.5, we think this line is a touch low for Golden State.

TIP: Golden State -4.5 - $1.91 at Sportsbet

Cleveland Cavaliers at Indiana Pacers (11am AEDT)

The Cavs have lost their last two games, both  blowout defeats at the hands of the Wolves and Raptors respectively. It seems they’ve lost their way of sorts in the past few weeks and seem to be just bidign their time until star point guard Isaiah Thomas can return to the team in a full time capacity. They’ll face the Pacers Saturday who are also going through a tough stretch, winning just four of their last 10 games.

The Pacers just got star guard Victor Oladipo back from injury but will unfortunately be without forward Myles Turner for the next two games after the big man went down with an eblow injury earlier in the week.

With the Cavs getting absolutely blown out over the last two games, not much can be said about their form, and they’ll be on the second night of a tough road back to back here. We like the Pacers to get the job done at home.

TIP: Pacers to win - $2.03 at Sportsbet

Houston Rockets at Phoenix Suns (2.30pm AEDT)

Two teams that despise playing defence will go at it in the second game of the ESPN double header Saturday as the Suns host the Rockets. The Rockets have been just managing without star guard James Harden in the line-up, and get a great chance to get a relatively easy win on the board here as they face the Suns, who are 16-26 on the season.

In saying that, the Suns have won 5 of their last 10 games and are looking like a much better team than their record might suggest. However, they are still statistically one fo the worst defences in the league, and against a team that scores in the volume that even a Harden-less Rockets do, it’s hard to see them having the offence to keep up here.

The Rockets start as seven point favourites, which we aren’t really super keen on, however, with both teams set to most likely put up big scores, we like the over on total points here.

TIP: Total points OVER 226 - $1.91 at Sportsbet
