2014 PGA: RBC Heritage Preview

RBC Heritage will be the first tournament to follow the Masters. There has already been quite a few withdrawals including last year’s playoff contender Webb Simpson. This tournament looks as wide open as can be and with that in mind we will look at our favorite long shots until after round 1 .
If you are following general sports betting bankroll management guidlines you will most likely be betting 1-2 % of your bankroll on any one football,basketball or baseball game. This strategy for golf betting is not recommended. We generally bet 0.15 - 0.25 % of our bankroll on a single golf pick. Whether they are 500-1 or 15-1. The reason we are explaining this is because this tournament in particular is very wide open and we believe it is positive EV betting smaller amounts on more players in such situations.
Harbour Town Golf Links is a tight course with small greens. So players that are accurate off the tee and have the ability to get up-and-down around the greens will benefit. The favorites for this tournament are the likes of Kuchar, Speith, Donald, Furyk and Z.Johnson ranging from 17-1 to 23-1. We dont believe we are getting the right price for any of these favorites in such a wide open tournament.
