Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Monday, April 13th
(7) Duenna was a moral beat first up on the Kenso and I've been waiting for her to race again since that defeat. She's been entered in a number of races over the past couple of weeks but this is the one she lines up in. Her trials leading into that first up run were both good and with any luck at all in the straight, she wins last start. She draws wide but with the heavy track, that might just be the best place to be in the straight, but we need a good ride from Kerrin McEvoy. She should handle the ground no issues, and I'd rather be taking $5.00 about her than $2.45 for the unraced favourite. James Cummings has a decent strike rate at Warwick Farm and with $1.80 available for the place we could even have a decent 1x4 type of bet.
We have a field of seven here so we don't get paid for three places unfortunately, but I'll still be backing (7) Monsieur Sisu each way at $6.50/$3.25. This horse only has three career wins but all three have been on heavy ground. He's placed in six from seven overall on heavy ground and has placed in all three starts at the track. Jason Collett takes over today from Kathy O'Hara and he was the last jockey to win on the horse. The slight query is the drop back from 2400m to 2100m but he comes off a good run on unsuitable ground and gets conditions to suit today.

(3) Military Magic is the horse to beat here quite clearly, undefeated from three career starts and resuming with James McDonald booked instead of regular rider Cejay Graham. Plenty to like about her but I'll be playing level stakes on her and (7) Bring The Ransom at $7.50 for Bjorn Baker. Bring The Ransom so far only has provincial form to go off but she's trialled well twice leading into this, most recently winning her heat here at Warwick Farm. Bjorn Baker has a phenomenal strike rate at Warwick Farm, with nine winners from 26 runners this season, a 35% strike rate, and this is his only runner of the day. She handled the heavy going in her trial and she could be hard to beat at good odds today.
(7) Bring The Ransom

(2) Romantic Whisper comes to town off a dominant win at Hawkesbury on soft ground last start and I think she can sneak a midweek city win here. She was ridden cold first up and didn't do much, but they went forward and led with her last start which worked effectively, as she cruised away to score by 4L. Drawn the inside with Hyeronimus on, she'll lead and we saw her get through the wet ground easily last start so that shouldn't be a problem. Waterhouse/Bott strike at 25% at Warwick Farm this season and this looks the best chance from their three runners today.
