Reality TV show I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here is proving to be popular, not only with television audinces but sports betting punters around Australia. In some recent movement to the markets, former Australian actress Val Lehman has rocketed to the top of the betting to be the first celebrity to quit the show. Lehman was previously a $19 outside to walk out, but after a recent scare where she collapsed and was treated by medics, she now stands as the clear favourite at $4.00 at Sportsbet ahead of The Bachelor star Laurina ($4.50) and DJ Havana Brown ($5.00).
“Thankfully the medics have given Val the all clear to continue but the betting would suggest she’s had a gut full and will walk herself out of there,’’ said Will Byrne from Sportsbet.
We're pleased to say that the favourite to win the show is a sports star with rugby legend Paul "The Chief" Harragon now rated a strong $2.00 favourite to take it down. Others in contention include AFL footballer Brendan Fevola ($3.50) and cricket spin king Shane Warne ($4.00).
Bonnie Lythgoe is the $2.30 favourite to be the next to be booted from the show via the public vote.
