Race 1
(2) Starry Night drops to C5 here and gets Zac Purton aboard. Those are big factors in this horse’s favour so I could justify him being shorter than his current price in this event.
(4) Smart Folks is going well with back-to-back placings but finds it hard to win. He’s drawn well and is right in this.
(5) Aca Power with Hugh Bowman back on is a danger here. Finished just behind Smart Folks 2 starts ago so form ties in.
(2) Starry Night – E/W

(5) Gummy Gummy is the clear best bet on the card. He’s short but due for a win after a string of placings behind some talented horses. Good draw and speedmap for him tonight should see him winning.
(4) Lightning Bolt will be working home late and can win. He knows the trip well and Hugh Bowman is a solid booking tonight.
(9) Everyone’s Victory is up in class here after winning in class 4 last time over this trip. He’s not out of it if he can take benefit from his new-found winning form.
(5) Gummy Gummy – Win

(12) Hava Nageela has made a mockery of his rivals in class 3 and earned his spot in class 2 company here. The form out of his 2nd to Ching 3 starts ago is completely unbelievable with 7 horses winning out of that event.
(9) Handsome Twelve is the threat here returning to the dirt after failure on turf last time. He was racing exceptionally prior and can return to that form with a good gate on his preferred surface here.
(6) Apache Pass gets Zac Purton on here and wasn’t far off Handsome Twelve last time. He’s fresh but has trialled in the lead up and can have an impact tonight.
