Couple of decent cards here for our mid-week tips. Sandown is rated a Soft-5 today with the rail out 10m while Rosehill a Good-3 with the rail out 7m. We have our tips for every race as well as our best bet/value below.

Best Bet: Race 2 Coppergate
Liked him and backed him on debut following a strong jumpout and the fact McEvoy's 2YO's generally perform well in Melbourne, and he finished off well to get within 2 lengths of Jukebox, who will be a red hot chance in the Blue Diamond. Sticky draw here but I think that form is very good for a midweek race like this and I think his odds are pretty decent around the $4.60 mark.
Best Value: Race 8 Quilate
Solid enough run first up behind a smart winner over an unsuitable distance. Did a similar thing last prep before coming out second up and nearly winning, so with the step up in trip here and Williams taking over I think he'll go close at each way odds.

Was wide throughout first up with 61kg and still chased hard to finish 3rd. Has won his only previous 2nd up run and draws to get a much better run from barrier 6. Can turn the tables on Pick Me Up with a 3.5kg weight swing, added fitness and better draw.
Best Value: Race 1 Snitch
Tough race with a bunch of first starters but this horse has won his only trial leading into this in decent time and if he has some luck from the wide barrier could surprise at double figure odds.
