Sandown Hillside will host twilight racing on Wednesday with a competitive eight race program on offer for punters. The first race is for the maidens and is over a mile but I have 3 other races to concentrate on later in the program. The track will be Good and 33 degrees is expected on the day. A few of our fancies are on pace types, so we are hoping the race pattern of the day favours horses that like to go forward.

Sandown Racing Tips: Wednesday, February 4th 2026
Race 6: Sportsbet Get On Extra Handicap 1300m - 6:30pm (AEDT)
*SCRATCHED* (7) Victorious Spirit is first up here and after 2 steady jumpouts will attract plenty of interest from punters. In the Spring he raced 3 times and was very competitive in all races and was well in the market on each occasion. On all occasions he rolled forward and when on a Good track he was a winner. He has placed over this distance before and Zac Spain will take the steer.
(4) Military Base has drawn wide in 12 but will settle a pair or two behind his stable mate in Victorious Spirit and he gets Luke Cartwright on top and he has won on Military Base previously. He is big odds but worth following.
(1) Cyber Link has had 1 start on the Dry for a victory. The Greg Eurell trained colt settled 3rd on that occasion and proved too good at Pakenham on a Good track.
(7) Victorious Spirit

Race 7: Tile Importer Handicap 1300m - 7pm (AEDT)
(7) Enamorada is first up after a four month spell and looks the one to beat here. She won a Cranbourne jumpout 2 weeks ago in preparation for this and his last 2 runs for the Bedggood Team in the Spring were excellent and were wins. Connections have now gone with the Maher Team to train and you would think the mare would improve again in what is one of the leading stables in Australia.
(3) Attachments has drawn inside and should get an economical run here in approximately 5th position on the rails. The consistent mare should get the opportunity to get out down the long home straight,
(2) Boga Legend is big odds and is a Place chance in this. He was 3rd to Jimmy The Bear last campaign and raced in harder races than this. He does like Soft tracks better though.
(7) Enamorada WIN
$1.80 (4 units)
Race 8: Sportsbet Same Race Multi Handicap 1500m - 7:30pm (AEDT)
(9) Watersports has finished in the top 3 in his last 4 starts. On December 27 at Cranbourne he won well when favourite and that was on a Good track. Last time at Flemington he ran on wel from midfield to run 3rd and from barrier 6 Craig Williams, who is 1 from 1 on top, should be able to give him a good ride. Has had 2 starts over this distance for a first and second.
(5) Savamoon is very consistent and likes Dry tracks. Will roll forward again from barrier 10 and will want a slowly run race. Had a bad draw (12) and went forward at Cranbourne two starts back over 1500m (4th) but has raced well over this journey previously.
(4) Sirius Statement hasn’t done well over this distance previously but has run well on January 23 at Pakenham when 2nd. Jamie Mott stays on and he has won 3 times on top already.
(9) Watersports WIN
$3.10 (2 units)
