Sandown Racing Tips: Wednesday, August 6th 2025
Race 4: Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives Handicap - 2:10pm (AEST)
(8) Delicate Lady almost got there at Caulfield last start (2nd) after coming from midfield and with another positive run under her belt this looks a suitable race for her. She goes up to the 1200m and she has placed over that distance previously. She gets barrier 7 here and I reckon that will allow her to get more room in the run compared to last start. Two starts at Bendigo she won well on the Heavy so rain on the day will be nice but unlikely. Fought on well last start and is always close to the win.
(4) Quebeck likes Dry ground but with no rain around the track it shouldn't be too bad. Loves this distance and he may try to lead all of the way here. Gets a 3kg claim too with Jordan Weatherley on top.
(5) White Bear goes down in class after running 11th at Caulfield last start. Likes the distance though and is over the odds.
(8) Delicate Lady Each-Way
$3.20/$1.50 (1U/2U)
Race 5: Sportsbet Feed Handicap - 2:45pm (AEST)
(3) Stupendous ran on well on resumption (5th) and the extra 300m here looks ideal. She has won over the mile before and she has raced in harder races than this. She has good second up form and she has a positive relationship with Logan Bates who rides again.Worth noting, she did get backed in at The Valley before going out for a spell so she must have ability.
(1) Nursery Chime drops in grade and she needs to improve. Is on the quick back up, will settle handy and is one at odds.
(5) Tournelle ran on well at Geelong last start to finish 2nd. She was backed in there and the mile looks up her alley as she has placed twice over the trip previously. Has placed twice for Thomas Stockdale who is on top
(3) Stupendous Each-Way
$7.50/$2.25 (1 Unit)
Race 8: Sportsbet Get On Extra Handicap - 4:30pm (AEST)
(8) Justadeel ran on well from the back at Hillside last start so I don’t think barrier 15 is too dangerous because he will get back again in this. He has always finished in the top 3 on a Soft track which he will likely get again here. He is having his second start for the Hayes team and just his second start in 12 months. He has placed when second up beforehand the consistent type gets Blake Shinn on top which is a bonus.
(3) Presser won very well at The Valley before his spell and his first up record is very good. Before his win at The Valley he almost won at Morphetville too. Go close. Wide barrier in 14 and 26-1 looks too high.
(6) Dragoon is consistent and gets the services of Damien Lane after Shinn hopped off. First up form is poor but he can place in this.
(8) Justadeel Each-Way
$3.40$1.65 (1U/2U)
