Rosehill Gardens hosts an 11-race card on Saturday with The Toyota Forklifts W J McKell Cup as the marquee race. The first race commences at 10:30pm AEST and the last concludes at 4:30pm AEST. The rail is in its true position for the entirety with the track conditions set to be HEAVY, but fine weather predicted. Watch and monitor.

Rosehill Gardens Racing Tips: Saturday, June 29th 2024
Race 2: TAB Highway Hcp Class 3 1500m– 11:00am (AEST)
(2) Associate $8.00/$2.80: 4YO gelding who was enormous last start for his first up run in this grade/distance. The track was very heavy with rain pouring and this fella came from the tail to finish 3rd, gap to the winner/second, but they were in front from the beginning. Merit for that. Remains at the same class and distance here and gets a 3kg claim engaged. Draws a better gate to sit closer and will only be fitter now for the second up run. (4 weeks between) so should be good after the last heavy outing. Value each way on the wet here.
(5) Silver Halo $19/$5.50: 3YO filly who won well two back and we tipped last start, but didn’t handle the wet there and was too far back. KNOW THYSELF dominant winner there. Proven on the heavy in the past, so she is capable. Happy to forgive last run and can play a role at big odds here.
(7) Soul Lady $14.00/$4.20: Bolted in first up in the heavy conditions winning by 3L. Fitter third up now, but distance the query. Talented enough though.

Race 3: James Squire Stayers Cup BM90 2400m– 11:35am (AEST)
(1) Bonny Ezra $15/$3.50: 8YO who won over this trip three runs back in the wet conditions and hasn’t been all that far away in the past two. Gets in nicely with a 3kg claim and expect him to sit midfield with cover before winding up late. Rock hard fit and due another win. Looks a value bet for me.
(7) Fathers Day $3.10: 6YO who goes well over this distance and on the heavy track. Peaks fourth up and deserves to be favourite. Gets in nicely at the weights with a 2kg claim engaged. Hard to beat.
(9) Naval Commission $3.90: 4YO out of merchant Navy who has gone three in a row. Continues to step out in distance and win. Rock hard fit and can go on with it here. Unbeaten on the heavy track boosts confidence too.

Race 7: Toyota Forklifts W J McKell Cup 2000m– 1:55pm (AEST)
(2) Waterford $3.60: 5YO who was unlucky not to win the scone cup before getting too far back most recently. Should be hard fit now and demands respect coming from the Waller stable with Nash in the saddle.
(1) Jimi Hendrix $17/$4.20: 5YO gelding who gets in nicely at the weights here at big odds. Needs to improve of recent performances, but best is good enough. One for the exotics.
(5) Golden Path $3.30: 4YO who went bang last start when pushing out to 2000m. Remains at this distance now and can go on with it now. Goes well.
