We are sure you have already heard but in case you haven’t, Pokemon Go is currently sweeping the nation and is the talk of almost every town.
It is a mobile phone game that is available in the App store for free as Pokemon is making a huge comeback gaining the attention of millions of people across the world.
A Facebook event was created for users to go on a Pokemon trek together with over 2,000 people turned up for a 'Poke-Walk'at the Sydney Opera House.
Another event was held on the same day on the other side of the country in Perth and close to 1,000 people were involved.
The craze has grown so quickly in the past week that even the sports bookmakers in Australia have become involved opening betting markets for their customers.
Sportsbet has opened multiple different markets but the most popular is currently where the first “Legendary Pokemon” will be found.
There is a total of 150 different Pokemon that have been released and there is only a handful amount of Legendary Pokemon that include Mewtwo, Zapdos and Moltres.
Sportsbet has odds available for where the first Legendary Pokemon will be found in Sydney and in Melbourne.
Pokemon Go - Legendary Locations Sydney
Sydney’s Hyde Park and Melbourne’s MCG are the two favourites to have the first Legendary Pokemon with both starting at $6.00.
Other options include the Opera House at $7.50 and Wynyard Station at $8 whilst St Kilda Beach at $6.50 and Flemington Racecourse at $7.50 are in the mix for Melbourne.
Pokemon Go - Legendary Locations Melbourne
The growth has been so drastic for Pokemon Go in the last few days that they are currently a $1.05 favourite to have more users than Twitter by the end of 2016 and are a $7.00 chance to overtake Facebook throughout 2017.
There is another comical market that is taking a bit of a stab at the dream chaser Jarryd Hayne.
The former professional Rugby League player left the NRL to pursue a career in the NFL before attempting to make it to the Olympics for Fiji in Rugby 7s.
He has recently missed the final squad and his next option is in limbo and Sportsbet has him at $101 to become a professional Pokemon Go player in 2016.
