Play MLB Daily Fantasy in Australia at FanSports

July 15th 2016, 8:35am, By: Andy Rosos

FanSports are one of Australia's newest Daily Fantasy Sports websites, but they are already making waves as the first Australian DFS site to offer innovative DFS PGA contests and DFS Major League Baseball contests.

To kick off the launch of MLB Daily Fantasy in Australia, we are taking a look at the weekend of July 16-17 'Afternoon Change Up' contest and offering some of our best picks!

FanSports MLB salary cap: $70,000

Pitcher (P) - $22,800 - Madison Bumgarner - SF

I’ve chosen the ace pitcher Bumgarner for my fantasy team. He has an ERA of 1.94 and has a 10-4 record this year. He is by far one of the top 2016 pitchers, basically the best in my opinion. It is easy to imagine him continuing to succeed this season.

Catcher (C) - $5,200 - Stephen Vogt - OAK

Vogt is one of the top catchers in the game and is having a great year behind the bat. He leads all catches with 18 doubles this season and has a .277 average.

1st Base (1B) - $6,600 - Jose Abreu - CWS

Having a slow start to the year Abreu has got his groove back. Through June in hit seven doubles, five homers, and twenty RBIs. For the price I believe he’s worth a second look.

2nd Base (2B) - $4,000 - Darwin Barney - TOR

Barney has solidified his position on 2nd base for the Jays. He shows the ability to connect bat with ball with three homers to his name and awesome averages. This certainty shows his rate of contact is great.

3rd Base (3B) - $5,400 - Ryan Schimpf - SD

After a slow start in June, Ryan has exploded in July! Although he has only played 22 games, he already has five doubles and four homers under his belt.

Shortstop (SS) - $6,000 - Carlos Correa - HOU

I’m sticking with Carlos Correa for this game. Just before the all star weekend break he came up with a game winning RBI single against the Oakland Athletics. That would of definitely put the spring in his step that he seemed to be lacking in the end of June. He is registering 14 homers and 17 second base hits with an average of .260.

Outfielder (OF) - $8,000- Michael Saunders - TOR

The Canadian native has put together his best season yet, displaying six homers and 25 doubles, plus a trip to the All Star weekend. The left fielder scored his sixth multi hit in seven games. It’s basically a no brainer to add Saunders to your team.

Outfielder (OF) - $7,400 - George Springer - HOU

Springer narrowly missed out on the All Star game, but that didn’t stop the hard hitter. Astro fans are excited about what Springer has brought to the table in 2016. He has a great average and has 19 homers with a RPI of 47.

Outfielder (OF) -$5,600 - Adam Eaton - CWS

Despite the July 8th CWS lost to the Braves, Eaton went 2-4 with a home run and two RPIs. He also has ten stolen bases for the season.

Goodluck with your MLB Daily Fantasy teams!
