We are back with our Draftstars NRL Saturday Shootout team and this week there will be a prize pool of $2,000 with a buy-in of $15. We have looked to utilise players that will be playing a large portion of minutes whilst grabbing a couple of cheapies to free up cash for the gun players.

Draftstars NRL Salary Cap: $100,000
Hooker
Isaac Luke ($13,200) New Zealand Warriors
The New Zealand rake has been playing at a high level for the past couple of months and has maintained the kicking duties throughout this period. This will contribute to added points along side his already high work rate.
Half
Nathan Cleary ($5,400) Penrith Panthers
Clery has continued to play at a high level despite playing in his first season in the NRL. At such a cheap price he is a must-have to allow space for more expensive players and averaging 55.7ppg suggests he should be picked at a much higher price.
Centre
Isaah Yeo ($9,350) Penrith Panthers
The dual position availability of Yeo allows for us to choose a high working back rower in the centre position. It is a brilliant selection as base points are rewarded highly with Draftstars and Yeo also has the capabilities of earning crucial attacking statistics.
Clinton Gutherson ($5,450) Parramatta Eels
The season from hell is continuing for the Eels but it has opened up an opportunity for Gutherson. The injuries and suspensions to their halves has seen Gutherson move into five-eighth and he has scored well over the last two weeks and his current price is at almost bottom dollar.
Wing/Fullback
James Tedesco ($14,100) Wests Tigers
The New South Wales fullback had a relatively quiet performance against the Dragons last week but you can expect him to bounce back well this weekend. Tedesco historically scores well against this weekend’s opponent the Eels.
Josh Mansour ($9,750) Penrith Panthers
Since being selected for the New South Wales Origin side this year, Mansour has taken his game and involvement to another level. He is currently averaging over 40 points per game and as he has arguably the highest work rate of any winger in the competition.
Front Row Forward
Bunty Afoa ($5,000) New Zealand Warriors
Afoa has replaced the injured Bodene Thompson in the starting line up for the Warriors and is playing on the right edge. The Back rower is available in the front row position, which is great as he is at the cheapest price and plays large minutes.
Ben Matulino ($12,500) New Zealand Warriors
The big Warriors forward has been given extra minutes in recent weeks and it has impacted his scores drastically. It has boosted his confidence and production and is a great option in the front row forward position.
Second Row Forward
Tohu Harris ($13,400) Melbourne Storm
Harris is an 80-minute player and averages over 50ppg. He will bring his best this weekend as the Storm are taking on the defending premiers the Cowboys.
Bryce Cartwright ($11,550) Penrith Panthers
Our last player selected is an obvious one as Cartwright has been a revelation since his move to five-eighth. A lot of Daily Fantasy Sports competitors were worried he would lose production but it has actually increased as his attacking statistics have gone through the roof.
