July 7th 2016, 11:45am, By: C.McGregor9

There may be only four NRL games this weekend but there is still a lot of money up for grabs with Draftstars throughout NRL Round 18. We take a look at the matches and have our team of the week for the $1,000 guaranteed Daily Fantasy Tournament.

Draftstars NRL Salary Cap: $100,000

Hooker

Josh Hodgson ($12,600) Canberra Raiders

Hodgson has been one of the stand out players of the 2016 season. When the Dally M votes went behind closed doors he was sitting equal first due to his solid play. His side has one of the best attacks in the competition and as they are playing a depleted Cowboys side on home soil he could be capable for a big game on Monday.

Half

Nathan Cleary ($6,050) Penrith Panthers

Cleary may have only played four NRL games but he has continued to impress in every outing. Last week he registered three try assists in a side that was defeated as he is averaging a massive 61.7 points per game. He is a must selection at such a cheap price whilst averaging such a high score.

Centre

Chris Lawrence ($9,250) Wests Tigers

We will be sticking with our successful strategy from last week by picking two-work horse backrowers in the centre position. This will work well for the Draftstars scoring system and if they are able to gain attack statistics it will just be a bonus.

Mitchell Aubusson  ($10,100) Sydney Roosters

As stated above we will be picking players from the back row who play big minutes as they are more likely to get involved with a high work rate which suits the scoring system of Draftstars.

Wing/Fullback

Brett Morris ($12,750) Canterbury Bulldogs

The Bulldogs flyer has returned from injury with a bang has he has scored five tries in two matches. He is playing on the left edge and that is the main focus of attack for the Dogs and he will continue to reap the rewards. As they are playing the Tigers this weekend and on the back of a three game winning streak, you would have to think he will continue his try scoring run this weekend.

Latrell Mitchell ($5,150) Sydney Roosters

The 18-year-old fullback has had a great debut season and is continuing to grow as a player. In his 15 games this season he has registered 9 tries which is solid for a team that is struggling. However, we have them causing an upset against the Eels this weekend and he will be a vocal point.

Front Row Forward

James Graham ($14,000) Canterbury Bulldogs

The Bulldogs captain already plays huge minutes and is a base stat monster but the last time his side was without their Origin stars he played close to 80-minutes and pumped out a massive score. We are backing his time on the field to be similar and his work rate will see his score go through the roof.

Isaac Liu ($9,400) Sydney Roosters

Liu will start at lock for the Roosters this weekend and is at a good price for a player that will play a lot of minutes in the middle of the field and earn a lot of base statistics.

Second Row Forward

Bryce Cartwright ($11,600) Penrith Panthers

Cartwright’s break out season has continued despite his move from the back row to five-eighth. A lot of people thought this would see him drop in production as he wouldn’t earn as many base statistics defending wider but he has still managed big scores on the back of his abilities in attack and producing 10 offloads last week.

Chris Heightington ($8,900) Cronulla Sharks

As the majority of the Sharks forward pack is playing for New South Wales this weekend, Heightington will play huge minutes and at the lock position he will earn a lot of base stats. He will need to lead from the front for the inexperienced players around him and he will be able to do so.
