Week 10 of the NFL season gets underway on Friday as the Oakland Raiders host the Los Angeles Chargers from 12.20pm! As usual, we have a full preview and tips for some of the key games across the Week 10 slate below.
NFL Week 10 Betting Tips
Los Angeles Chargers at Oakland Raiders (Friday 12.20pm AEDT)
Oakland (4-4) is back in the AFC Wildcard race after a thrilling 31-24 home victory over the Lions in Week 9. The Raiders D just held on in the last few seconds as Detroit couldn't find the endzone to tie up the scores at 31. Josh Jacobs continued his impressive rookie season with 120 rushing yards and 2 scores. However, the Raiders secondary is going to be a real concern against the Chargers. Oakland ranks dead last in the NFL for passing yards and now meet the tough combination of Phillip Rivers / Keenan Allen. The other question mark for the Raiders will be moving the chains in the air against a Chargers D that allowed just 11 points to the high flying Packers last week.
A huge 26-11 upset win over the Packers has the 4-5 Chargers back in playoff contention. They've been an inconsistent team for most of the season but it looks like the Bolts are hitting peak form at the moment. Their defence was especially good after keeping the Packers high powered offence in check last week. Rivers has historically owned the Raiders with 45 passing touchdowns in his career and the Chargers have won the last 4 meetings. Last year, they swept the season series with a 20-6 win in Oakland and 26-10 at home.
This looks like another tough matchup for the Raiders D, which has struggled all year to stop the passing game. Chargers RB Melvin Gordon also looks to be back in-form, which should open up play-action for Rivers. On the flip side, the Chargers pass D should be able to contain Derek Carr and his weapons. So we like the Chargers at the line as they've covered in the last 4 meetings with Oakland.
Minnesota Vikings at Dallas Cowboys (Monday 12.20pm AEDT)
The 6-3 Vikings missed a great opportunity to bridge the gap in the NFC North last week with a 26-23 loss in Kansas City. The 3 point defeat snapped a 4 game winning streak for the Vikes and they'll be back on the road in this clash with the Cowboys. Dalvin Cook had one of his quieter games of the year and it looks like top WR Adam Thielen will miss with a hamstring issue. So Kirk Cousins will need to find his combination with Diggs and hope the Vikings can get a better showing on the ground.
Dallas leads the NFC East with a 5-4 record and have easily disposed of the Giants (37-18) and Eagles (37-10) in this 2 game winning streak. Ezekiel Elliott has now rushed for 100+ yards in 3 straight games and will be looking to exploit the Vikings run D after last week's effort. Prescott comes off 3 TD passes against the Giants and the Cowboys continue to be a strong passing team as they rank 4th in the NFL. Meanwhile, the defence of last year has returned over the last 2 weeks and they'll look to continue that form against Kirk Cousins.
This clash features two of the best running backs in the NFL and we believe that the gameplan for either side will be controlling the clock with the running game. So we have to like the Under. It's 9-2 in the Vikings last 11 games against the NFC and 6-2 in their last 8 road games. Under is also 4-1 in the last 5 meetings and Dallas has allowed just 28 points in the last 2 weeks.

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers (Tuesday 12.15pm AEDT)
The game of the week has to wait until Tuesday as the undefeated 49ers face the 7-2 Seahawks in a huge NFC West battle. Starting with Seattle, they outlasted the Bucs last time out with a 40-34 OT victory. Wilson starred with 5 TD passes and his combination with Tyler Lockett will be something to watch in this clash. They should be confident of an upset considering they've won all 4 road games this season. However, their pass D has struggled against the Falcons and Bucs over the last 2 weeks and will need to improve against the 49ers.
The undefeated 49ers are back at home in Week 10 and should be well-rested. They survived a scare against the Cardinals last Thursday, coming away with a 28-25 victory. Emmanuel Sanders is enjoying his time in San Francisco after back to back games with a TD. So he'll look to continue the momentum against the struggling Seahawks secondary. In the running game, Matt Breida returned from injury with a solid showing against the Cardinals. Meanwhile, Garoppolo tossed 4 touchdowns and is showing signs of why the 49ers made the trade with the Patriots a few seasons ago. Arguably, the most improved part of this 49ers team is the defence. They've given up 12.8 ppg (2nd) and just 138 passing yards per game (1st).
The best bet in this game looks to be the Over in what should be a shootout between Garoppolo and Wilson. Over has a 6-1 record in the Seahawks last 7 games against the division and the 49ers also have a positive record at 5-1 when playing against a NFC West opponent. Between these two sides, the Over is 5-2 as well.
