Welcome to Before You Bet's newest betting tips series, Greyhound Racing! Starting this Wednesday, the 6th of February, we take a look at a few race meets per week and give our best bets for the meets. Today we take a look at the Cannington and Wentworth Park meets and give our tips below.
Race 2
Ace Cruising comes off a fourth-placed effort in this grade. He meets an easier field this time around and box three looks good because he should get across the two runners drawn inside him. Two starts ago he was a winner over track and distance from this box in 22.01 which was the best of the night. His record from box three is two wins and five minor placings and he should be hard to beat tonight.
Race 6
Bushman’s Cobber looks to have very strong claims in this Grade 5/6 event from box three. Prior to a last-start fifth as a $1.80 favourite, Bushman’s Cobber had won over course and distance in 21.71 which was the best of the night. His record is 10 starts for four wins and he can add another victory to his name with a little bit of luck early.
Race 7
Exonerated chases a hat-trick of wins in FFA company at this venue after consecutive best of the night performances with 21.72 and 21.78 wins. Both wins came from box two, but he will have box six to contend with on this occasion. His numbers look superior to rivals and if he can burn across and land in the top two then he should prove too good once again.
Race 4
The unbeaten King Cratos looks to make it five-straight by winning this Grade 5 event. He is the only dog in this field to break 30 seconds for track and distance. Box eight should help him avoid any trouble early and he has a superior finish to all of his rivals. The $1.90 on offer still represents value and there’s no reason he won’t be saluting to keep the unbeaten streak intact.

Flemington hosts racing this Saturday and it's a pretty good program too with the first of 9 races getting underway at 11:55am (AEST). The Flemington Community Plate and the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour races look to be the best two races of the day.
It’s time for the Group one Queensland Oaks whilst the QLD Carnival continues. The card is filled with 9 races and the feature is the G1 in Race 8, but accompanied by the Group 2 Moreton Cup in Race 9.

Sandown Hillside gets a rare chance to host Saturday Racing this week with a nine race program on offer. The track provides an open space for gallopers to produce sustained runs around the bend which should suit those who get cover throughout the day.

AFL Round 13 wraps up on Monday with a massive King’s Birthday clash between Collingwood and Melbourne at the MCG. This year’s blockbuster carries extra weight, marking the very first Big Freeze since the passing of the legendary Neale Daniher.
6 Jun 2026
Sunday night footy in Round 13 will see two old rivals lock horns with Essendon taking on Carlton at the MCG. The Blues are 3-0 under caretaker coach Josh Fraser and have been installed as the 5-goal favourites to add another win to the tally.
The Sunday afternoon clash at the SCG shapes as a fascinating contest between a Sydney side sitting atop the AFL mountain and a St Kilda outfit desperate to respond after one of its poorest performances of the season.
Super Saturday in AFL Round 13 includes three fixtures with the last of those being West Coast vs Port Adelaide at Optus Stadium. The Eagles are enjoying a nice patch of form and will fancy their chances of securing another four points.
The latest edition of the QClash arrives at a fascinating point in the season, with Gold Coast looking to solidify its place among the AFL's contenders while Brisbane desperately searches for answers after a month of disappointing performances.
The AFL heads to Bunbury on Saturday afternoon as ladder leaders Fremantle continue their premiership charge against an improving North Melbourne outfit that has shown far more fight and resilience throughout 2026.
4 Jun 2026
AFL Round 13 continues on Friday night with Hawthorn taking on the Western Bulldogs at the MCG. It’s a juicy top eight clash between two high-scoring teams, which should make for great viewing.
3 Jun 2026
AFL Round 13 begins on Thursday night with a high-quality matchup between Adelaide and Geelong at Adelaide Oval. Both clubs have won five of their last seven games and are coming off last start losses, so we should be in for an intense and exciting spectacle.

It’s a bonus NRL Monday this week with a public holiday in NSW and fans will be delighted with a competitive clash between the Bulldogs and Eels. Having already met once this season, the Bulldogs will be out to make amends for their Round 7 loss.
Sunday afternoon at Sharks Stadium brings us another local derby for the Monty Porter Cup, and this is a much tougher betting puzzle than the ladder positions suggest. Cronulla are the better team, but they are missing some major pieces.
Sunday afternoon at CommBank Stadium gives us a familiar underdog versus benchmark setup, with the Tigers hosting the Panthers in a game where Penrith should be too strong if they bring anything close to their usual standard.
Saturday night at Suncorp Stadium gives us a Queensland derby between two sides that have been difficult to trust with the ball, and that is exactly why the total stands out. Check out our Broncos vs Titans betting tips here!
NRL Super Saturday is reduced this week, but the lack of games won’t hamper the quality on offer. Kicking off later, the Dolphins travel north to face their Queensland rivals in the Cowboys.
Friday Night Football at GIO Stadium gives us one of the more interesting market reaction spots of the round, as the Raiders host the Roosters in Canberra. Both teams come into this off very different Round 13 results, and in my opinion the market has overreacted to both.
The first game on Friday night heads to Melbourne for an intriguing clash between the Storm and Knights. Few would’ve expected the Storm to be outside the Top 8 and the Knights to sit inside the Top 4 at this stage of the season.
The opening match of NRL Round 14 is an intriguing contest between the Sea Eagles and Rabbitohs as both teams push towards the Top 4 and hope to at least remain inside the Top 8.
Sunday evening at CommBank Stadium gives us a genuine 1v2 clash, and it is a shame it lands straight after Origin. In a clean week, Panthers vs Warriors would be one of the best measuring stick games of the season.
Sunday afternoon at GIO Stadium gives us one of the more interesting underdog spots of the round, although I’m not even sure the Cowboys should be the underdog. Canberra have been better recently, but their team list situation is heavily tied to Origin.
