Max Verstappen took out the Mexican Grand Prix a couple of weeks ago to give us a great $4 winner on the day as we predicted a Red Bull driver to be on the top step of the podium. The 2018 Formula 1 season reaches its penultimate race this weekend as the tour heads to South America for the annual Brazillian Grand Prix. We take a look at the Grand Prix in full and give our betting tips below.
Verstappen might have taken the crown in Mexico but it was Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton who stole the show as his fourth-place finish secured the 2018 Drivers Championship with one race in hand. Hamilton has an unassailable 64-point lead in the title race, and should cruise home in the final two races in Brazil and Abu Dhabi Grand knowing that he has successfully won the drivers' championship.
The Brazilian Grand Prix is a favourite amongst the drivers due to the fantastic location of the track but also because of the track itself. There are some interesting corner combinations with a number of elevation changers and a variety of cambers in the corners. There are limited high speed corners so emphasis on braking well and keeping traction will be crucial this weekend.
Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettal took out the Brazillian Grand Priz last year and will be looking to go back to back in an attempt to make the drivers' standings gap between himsefla dn Lewis Hamilton more resptable heading into the last race of the season at Abu Dhabi.
Interestingly, the Brazilian Grand Prix hast been one of Lewis Hamilton’s favourite stomping grounds over his history in the Formula 1. It is one of the only tracks where the Brit doesn’t boast multiple wins, with his only win at Interlagos coming back in 2016. For that reason, and the fact that Hamilton has already sewn up the drivers' championship and will therefore likely be taking it pretty easy, we are staying away from him this weekend.

As for the winner, we think there are a few guys coming into the Brazilian Grand Prix in good form, the best of which seems to be Max Verstappen. However, the Brazilian track doesn’t suit the Red Bull car at all, with a lack of long straights and high-speed corners. We’ll be looking elsewhere for value this weekend in the form of Kimi Raikkonen.
The Ferrari driver has placed first and third in his last two races and has one win in the Brazilian Grand Prix back in 2007. He has finished on the podium in Brazil on five different occasions over the course of his career and comes into this weekend with fired up after public outbursts throughout the week against ‘stupidity’ in the Formula 1. Expect the veteran to make a statement.
