Bendigo Racing Tips – Wednesday, October 28, 2026
Race 7: Jarrod Larkin Concreting BM70 Handicap 1300m – 4:20pm AEDT
(3) Dirty Look has won both times this prep and the Grahame Begg-trained mare looks hard to beat in this Benchmark 70 Handicap. Her previous wins have come in this grade, the latest at Cranbourne. This doesn’t look any harder than recent efforts and if she repeats her past two, should make it a hat-trick of wins.
(4) Imperial Award is unbeaten from three career starts and jumps up in grade to try and make it a fourth. Apprentice Stephanie Hateley retains the ride after winning at Ballarat last time out. The widest gate could pose an issue to his chances of remaining unbeaten.
(1) Alero will have to carry 60.5kg in the race, but he did win with 61kg at Bendigo two starts back in an easier race. He then headed to Flemington, finishing eighth after racing down the straight and weakening badly. This should be more suitable, so he has each-way claims.
(3) Dirty Look WIN
$1.95 (3 Units)
Race 8: Ladbrokes Bendigo Cup 2400m – 4:55pm AEDT
(6) Kings Valley is racing in tremendous fashion for trainer Ciaron Maher and Ethan Brown picks up the ride. Brown rode Point Of Law to win the Geelong Cup last week for Maher and this looks another good opportunity. The six-year-old gelding finished fifth in the Caulfield Cup, beaten 2.4 lengths by Kingswood. He then contested the Moonee Valley Gold Cup at Flemington, tracking up winner and stablemate Juja Kibo. He will be back in the field here but if he lets down strongly like his past two runs, he should prove hard to hold out.
(4) So You Are made it a hat-trick of wins in the St Leger Stakes at Randwick 11 days ago. He should be prominent from the inside gate, although there is a fair bit of speed, so he is likely to be a little further back than recent runs. He should be poised to strike and could make it four straight wins.
(8) Litzdeel was second in The Bart Cummings two runs back before running fifth in the Geelong Cup. She was an okay run in the Geelong Cup and tends to run well without winning. She is probably more of a place hope but her best is good enough.
(4) Kings Valley WIN
$3.10 (2 Units)
Belmont Racing Tips: Wednesday, October 28, 2026
Race 3: MC Equine Surfaces Handicap 1200m – 2:49pm (5:49pm AEDT)
(4) She’s A Splinter gets the addition of Cox Plate-winning jockey William Pike and the filly is likely to be ridden cold early before Pike works into the race late. She was placed in a Class 1 Handicap last start and races again in this grade. She hit the line well and has won second-up from a spell. I expect her to go close.
(6) Gentle Touch was thrown into the deep end last start, finishing seventh in the Listed Max Simmonds Stakes. She was doing her best work late, running past a number of rivals. If she shows any further improvement, she will be hard to beat in this race. Chris Parnham jumps off She’s A Splinter to ride Gentle Touch.
(2) Artie’s Storm has been good at her past two starts, finishing second in a Class 1 before a fourth in a Class 3. She will map well from the inside gate and should run a really good race.
(4) She’s A Splinter WIN
$3.50 (2 Units)
