Rosehill Gardens Racing Tips: Saturday, August 29th 2026
Race 6: Campbelltown Catholic Club BM78 1100m - 2:40pm (AEST)
(1) Shes An Artist: 5YO Mare who has a handy CV and gets every chance here to add another victory to her name first up. 2 from 2 fresh and all career wins are over this trip. Drawn well and with the 1.5kg claim engaged she gets in at an okay weight. Major player.
(4) Kimberley Secrets: 7YO Mare who was very good fresh at big odds, only being collared late after racing on the speed. Second up she settled in a similar position, and it looked as though they may have gone just a touch too quickly early, setting the race up perfectly for the backmarkers who charged over the top. She remains in BM78 grade and stays at the ideal 1100m, while barrier 1 and a 3kg claim see her get in beautifully at the weights. She should have no trouble dictating again from the front and, with the expected soft conditions posing no concern, she looks suited to the setup. The favourite draws barrier 13 and is likely to settle rearward and wide, meaning it will need plenty of luck in running. She should be fitter for this third-up assignment and looks a genuine value play at the current quote. If she gets an easy lead, she’ll be very hard to run down. Each way
(7) Street Artist: 4YO gelding of the race who has been inching closer to a win. Rattled home most recently from the rear to finish 3rd. Closing sectionals were very good. Concern is the wide draw here and is likely to settle rearward again, so will need some luck. Chance though.

Race 8: Smithfield RSL San Domenico Stakes GROUP 3 1100m- 3:50pm (AEST)
(1) Guest House: Resuming 3YO Colt who won very well in the Group 1 Golden Slipper and had some handy form around that win with several excuses in a few runs. Talented type and rates well for this. Major player.
(4) Warwoven: 3YO Colt who has shown plenty of ability in debut campaign and won 3 handy races. Expect further improvement again and worth thought. Market support has been poor though indicating that he may need the run.
(6) Blue Door: 3YO Filly who looks to have plenty of ability in her first two runs. Gets her chance at Group 3 level now. Drawn well and maps to get a lovely run out in front. Will take catching.

Race 10: Clubsnsw BM94 1200m- 5:05pm (AEST)
(1) Cigar Flick: 6YO Mare who can be awfully hard to catch and hasn’t been thereabouts since her first up victory. However, with the 2kg claim engaged she looks nicely weighted for this and on paper looks a winnable race. Will need some luck in the running, but best is good enough to feature. Worth an each way play at the big odds.
(2) Grand Impact: 7YO gelding who has been knocking on the door first and second up finishing second on both occasions. Third up now, so should be nearing peak fitness. Drawn well and gets conditions to suit. Will be very close. Major player.
(12) Amazing Eagle: 5YO gelding who has been racing in excellent form this campaign, kicking off with a narrow defeat behind the talented PRIMA BELLA first up over 1000m, with a gap to third and plenty of merit in the way he savaged the line. His second-up effort was full of merit as well, getting caught four-wide and rearward throughout over the same trip, yet still closing off strongly despite being poorly positioned throughout. Now fourth up, he should be at peak fitness and gets a nice 52.5kg on his back. The rise to 1200m looks ideal, while barrier 2 should allow him to settle into a much more economical midfield position and enjoy a lovely run in transit. He looks perfectly placed to breakthrough here and, on exposed form, deserves to be favourite.
