Winning scores have typically pushed well into double digits under par, with Lee Hodges’ 24-under total in 2023 serving as the tournament scoring record. The closing stretch is particularly dramatic, with water lurking on both the par-5 18th and several key approach shots down the stretch.
The profile of recent winners suggests that elite iron play is the most reliable path to contention. Players who can generate a high volume of birdie chances from 150-200 yards have consistently separated themselves here, while hot putting weeks can quickly turn outsiders into genuine contenders.

Jackson Koivun
The rookie continues to impress with his maturity and consistency. Koivun has quickly adapted to PGA TOUR competition, piling up quality finishes while displaying a remarkably balanced statistical profile. His ability to create birdie opportunities without taking on excessive risk makes him an intriguing sleeper pick, and another top-20 finish would hardly be a surprise.
