AFL Fantasy Round 13 - Monday: Where to Attack?
Melbourne have lived and died by their aggressive, high-pressure brand of football throughout the season and while it has delivered some impressive results, it has also produced some enormous fantasy scores for opposition players. With Max Gawn anchoring the middle of the ground they remain predictably stingy against rucks, but that's about where their defensive advantages end.
The Demons continue to give up plenty of fantasy production to general forwards, running defenders, wings and designated kickers. Put simply, if your game is built around finding uncontested ball and operating on the outside, Melbourne are one of the better matchups in the league.
Collingwood find themselves in a similar category. Outside of West Coast, there may not be a leakier team in football when it comes to fantasy points allowed. The Magpies sit above league average in fantasy points conceded across almost every position group, with their biggest weaknesses coming against opposition rucks and designated kickers.
This shapes as a genuine fantasy-friendly matchup despite featuring two relatively competitive sides, with plenty of opportunities for outside runners and defenders to accumulate easy possessions throughout the afternoon.
Game script wise, I'll primarily be targeting Melbourne rucks, Collingwood defenders and Melbourne designated kickers.

Angus Anderson ($7,700) There is not a heap of obvious value on this single-game slate, but Anderson stands out as a player capable of outperforming his salary. The Collingwood mid-forward has already shown a solid fantasy ceiling this season, highlighted by a 92-point performance against Fremantle, and this matchup against Melbourne should provide plenty of opportunities for him to find the footy around the ground.
AFL Fantasy Round 13 - Monday: Our Mid Price Fantasy Picks
Isaac Quaynor ($10,570) Quaynor enters this matchup in excellent form, averaging 82.7 fantasy points across his last three outings while continuing to play an important role in Collingwood's ball movement from defence. He already has seven scores of 88 or more this season and the matchup against Melbourne's aggressive style should provide plenty of opportunities for intercept possessions and uncontested ball.
AFL Fantasy Round 13 - Monday: Our Premium Fantasy Picks
Max Gawn ($16,540) Gawn is the standout premium option on this slate and it is hard to build a case against him. Collingwood have been one of the softest matchups in the AFL for opposition rucks all season and Gawn has been in sensational fantasy form, producing 123 points in the loss to GWS last week for his fourth score above 120 this year. With the matchup and form both lining up perfectly, he looks like the premium player to build around on Monday afternoon.
